VANCOUVER — She was murdered and tossed aside into the cold waters of the Fraser River.

Vancouver police have now identified the city’s 15th homicide as a 41-year-old sex trade worker.

Her name is being withheld while police try to contact her family.

The woman’s body was pulled from the water Thursday night after a man walking along the shore in the 9100-block Bentley Street made the grisly discovery.

Staff in the Downtown Eastside building where she lived reported her missing after she didn’t return home for several days.

Investigators believe she was last seen on July 10.

An autopsy conducted on Friday confirmed the woman had met with foul play, but police remain mum on how she was slain.

Wow......how sad is this!!:(:(:(:(:( Ironically I saw this reported on the news the day I saw it posted on here and the other vancouver board.:(

Thats so sad, I really hope that those fuckers get caught and get what they desevere. I hope that my wish isnt...............wishful thinking " .....only!
I really like to know what was behind this act. How can someone have the morals and balls to murder someone!!! I dont get it.
This act, which is not confined to any one group of people, everyone can be a victim, is a systemic flaw of the human species. The problem is choice. We can always choose to kill someone. Inevitably, some of us do.

It goes with the human condition. Your fellow humans may kill you at any time, for any reason (there's plenty of fucking stupid ones out there). That's life.

Thankfully, these days, murder rates are about 100 times lower than they were 100 - 150 years ago.

Good news indeed!

Still sucks for this poor woman. May she rest in peace.

Thank you, Susi, for bringing these issues to our attention. You're extremely on the ball when it comes to anything sexwork related in the news.

This is an unfortunate story :(

This is horrible. And it goes to show exactly why screening techniques need to be more thorough. Some of the men up here are damn near offended when you want to screen. Well, things like this are why. My life and safety are worth more to me than $300.
And it is this very attitude and approach that will preserve you from most danger. Sadly, not defence is perfect and danger remains...

Heck look at that murder suicide (unconfirmed to date, but it could be any murder suicide) up north in AB this weekend or any other murder suicide. You live with someone, you have children together, married for 10 + x number of years, and you're killed along with your children and then a suicide.

Safety is but a relative concept. Only the dead know peace, no one else...

C'est la vie.

It is almost impossible to screen yourself from some of the maniacs who perpetrate these types of crime.

True there are deterrence's you can put in place but sadly there is little that can be done to stop the obsessed & methodical serial types.

I sincerely hope this is not the case with this murder as I would hate to be reading of another life taken.

This is another example of the element drawn to this enterprise.

I do not know the background of this woman but I can say that it appears as though she did not operate in the higher levels of the escort biz.

Dealing only with professional men would reduce your exposure to this type of danger.

Then again many many drug dealers & crime kingpins are frequent patrons of escorts?

Stay safe!

And thanks to Susi for all her hard work!

The person most likely to commit a violent attack...

is someone close to you, as opposed to some random, psychologically unstable socio/psychopath.

Though, in the sex-trade, it's often a crime of opportunity directed at easy targets.

All you need to do, is google the east-side vancouver murders over the years. The numbers are staggering. (far more than Pickton's plague)

I share my perb handle as well as sp I've seen on this board so the lady can make a informed decision to see me or not. I believe it's only fair. We read reviews on the ladies, it should go both ways.

You're saying that I'm an element drawn to this enterprise? What the hell do you mean? I'm a cold blooded realist (if that didn't come through enough in my posts to date) but I can assure you, I'm not a bad bad guy.

I'll assume you weren't casting aspersions on my character.

..and a Burnaby massage parlour worker is found stuffed in the trunk of her car

I quit working for agencies because they do not back up the escort. They want to check the calls and then send you blindly out to some address to a person you have had no contact with. and have no 'gut' feelings about (it is amazing how intuitive one can get through a phone call)

Then they fail to do a follow up call at the end of the session.....I know men find these irritating, and this is because some agencies were phoning during the call to get ladies to check other calls, which is very bad business practice. And often they would phone in advance of the end of the hour which is irritating to both client and pro, as I am usually in the middle of something fun and crucial when the phone rings....it can ruin the mood.

BUT, properly used it is imperative. Someone has to know where you are. A good client understands this and takes it as a matter of form.....I like US gentlemen too...they know the game...and they are great tippers!
