Bjork Fans?!

a friend bought my ticket as my birthday present..
so I changed my whole plans for my bday trip home to montreal so I wouldn't miss it..
She is not stopping in Montreal this time
I saw her a few years ago in Montreal, same kind of thing - outside venue. She was awesome...can't even describe it. Her voice is sick. sick. sick. She had part of an orchestra with her which made it even better. Fireworks and all... Crazy. Wasn't it expect it to be as good as it was, I came very close to flying to see her in toronto a few days later..that's how good it was. that's how good I'm expecting it to be. i hope so because I now have to fly back to Vancouver hung over the day after my bday. so it better be. lol
Any idea who's opening for her? I haven't looked into it..

Having never heard of Bjork...I shall simply log on to limewire and rip off a song or two. Apparently, that remains legal here.

...I would suspect it's just a "thing"....sort of like I could never, nor would, attempt to explain the attraction I have for singers such as Rufus Wainwright, Over the Rhine, Counting Crows, Cranberries, Xavier Rudd, and Sinead O'Connor.May I ask, without offending anyone, what it is that folks like about Bjork?
I recently saw her again on SNL and thought she was absolutely pants. Her voice sucks, she's extraordinarily peculiar and her songs have no tune whatsoever. I can't imagine being able to 'sing along' to anything by Bjork as it appears to be pure noise and very little else.
Is there a particular album I could buy to educate myself on her genre and learn to love her as much as her die hard fans appear to?!!

My eyes! My eyes! I can't believe I just read that. I did not see her on SNL so can't comment on that but to say her voice sucks is just wrong...so so wrong.
I don't know what else to say besides I'm not sure I'm going to see her perform live hoping to "sing along"?... Goosebumps, chills and probably speechless, yes.. To each their own, I guess.
One thing is for sure, if you're expecting Christina Aguilara tunes (why you would?.. now that's a whole other question

Bjork is very original, and her songs are super cool. Not only that, so were the Sugar Cubes (her former band). She's a very talented artist in the true sense of the word.

How good of a venue is Deer Lake park? I'm going to the white stripes concert there. Bjork would be awesome too!
Bjork is like foreign films for the ear. Very eclectic. Used to be into her but lost a couple of her stuff and after watching the Youtube clips again... I forgot just how cool I thought her stuff is.

Deer Lake
The venue at Deer Lake is very nice. It is a large grass field with the stage about 100m up away from the water so you have a good view. The only problem would be rainy weather because there is no cover and the ground would be very muddy.
I live right near Deer Lake so I will be out in my canoe drinking beer and enjoying the concert.
