Once you get to your seat, the new place is really cool.
Rest is shit.
Sent my friend for beers, came back 45 minutes later empty handed, saying the line wasn't even moving.
Entire halftime wasted to take a peepee.

I also understand will call was a 2 hour wait.

But yeah, whoever is in charge of the concession stands just has no clue. I have been to 15-20 football/baseball stadiums in the states. They all have much better plans.

Stadium looks awesome. Concessions didn't really bother me, i don't spend the game waiting for beer, i'm there for the game. but it sounded like they were ill-prepared. In their defence they didn't have a chance at a dry run either, needless to say running out of food, beer is unacceptable. then again i hear 100 people quit the day of the game or something. and today they voted to strike or something.

Having to wait for TV was crap.

Sarah can really sing it was nice to just have the song with no 'fringe' crap or needless scales.

Overall I loved the entire night and can't wait until the next game comes around.

I will be a walk up to tonights game.
Going to eat before the game, concessions were just brutal.
I am going to bring in bottled water, see if they bitch at the gate.
I cant go over 4.5 hours again without water, and the concession was literally over an hour where we were sitting.

I was thinking of doing the same.

WTF is it with the BC Place people not being able to organize concessions properly? They have always had bad food, bad service and ridiculous prices.

Geez if BC Ferries can improve their food like they have over the past decade why the hell can't these guys? Think I just answered my own question. They are government of BC employees with a job for life.

BC Place is owned by the government? I thought it was a company called PavCo. maybe I am wrong.
I will feed myself as bcneil and badbadboy. Save quite a few bucks. Plus the line is long, the taste is
horrible. We may be able to save the bucks to buy a jersey, $90, not cheap either.
Hope it will be good times tonight, Go Lions Go!

If I recall correctly BC Place falls under the BC Buildings Corp umbrella. Or at least they built BC Place as part of the run up to Expo 86 as a BC Gov't initiative.

Pavco is a BC Crown Corporation (ie just another asset owned by BC citizens) that manages 'spaces'. Maybe they are responsible for concessions at BC Place. Either way, they suck at their jobs.

Gotta give credit, the concessions were much improved.
I guess someone running the place got the revenue from game 1.
A 50,000 crowd, with an extended game (due to the earlier game running late) and freaked.

I dont really care about the prices, thats life. But I dont want to waste time.

I found the water thing annoying too, will try to remember to bring a spare cap from home next time.
I was sitting upper bowl, no chance you can hit the field.

BCLions.com starts to sell play-off tickets now, secure yours by Oct 20th. Otherwise it will be released for public sale. I already got mine and wanted to buy a few more.

Thank god. One season at Empire was more than enough. It's been a pain in my ass to make it to the games as it is way out of the way, the inconvenient set up, and the seats made for 5 year olds.
Good thing the teams are done in Empire. Its just hard to win in that place. Even the Whitecaps won back-to-back ever since coming back to BC Place.
