I turned my hobby phone on and this message popped up. Clearly someone trying to spam me.
The strange thing is that I have had this phone number for only about a month. I don't recall ever contacting anyone from that area code.

I wonder if, a. The person who had this number before me was also into this hobby. b. i have contacted about five SP's so far. Is one of them sharing phone numbers with someone?

The screenshot is attached here. Just be careful out there!

Safe Pooning.

Could simply be somebody with a cell phone scanner who was outside of an establishment you visited.
Best practice is to turn off your cell phone 1 or more blocks away from the establishment, and do not turn it back on til 1 or more blocks away.

That's creepy. I had no idea that this could be done..

I just looked at my journal, I have seen only one SP ever since I got this number!! I will be very careful next time I am near her incall.

Thanks for the advice

I just decided to change my phone number online. Besides this new number is easier to remember.

Thankfully Chatr allows you to change your phone number.
