As for going Independent there are a number of negatives to this. First is the idiotic $1500 licence that the city forces you to pay for. Also there's the safety factor. There's a lot of creeps and weirdos out there. Not everyone out there are gentleman like Sir Trawler. There's something to be said for the safety and security of working at an MP.
Ashley, if you look in the Sun, there's a lot of places always advertising that they're hiring. I guess it's just a matter of where you think you would fit in best. I'm sure lot's of these places would love to have a hot blonde such as yourself.

Well, I think an SP has to get the $1500 license regardless if she works at a MP or not, but I could be wrong about that. And like I said, ashley already has a large enough fanbase. There are a number of safety measure that indys use, and I'm sure ashley can get some valuable advice from the ladies in Vancouver, Calgary and Winnipeg.
I'm also looking at the advantages for us pooners too, P-Man. Why can't Edmonton have the same independent SP scene that other cities have? Why must people keep reinforcing the notion that MPs are the only choice in this town? Why do we tell SPs who think of moving here that it's their only option? The big disadvantages of MPs here in Ed-town are the 11 PM closing times. Sorry, but people don't stop being horny after 11 PM - in fact, I'd venture to say people are at their horniest between 11 PM and 2 AM! Plus, the independent SPs don't have to work on a fixed schedule, and if she's not busy then she doesn't have to waste her time sitting around in some MP for 6 hours - she can go shopping for lingerie or something.

Not trying to sway Ashley or any other lady away from trying the independant route, but I'm sorry to say that this is not Vancouver, Toronto or Montreal where an abundance of out of town buisnessmen are on the prowl. I stand to be corrected but I would wager that the majority of pooners out there are either married or have an SO at home. Renting a hotel room for the night (which can be expensive) or having the lady come to your place is just not viable. The majority of us do like the conveniance of popping into an MP on short notice. Hell most guys don't even last past the first half hour.
