Well, I think an SP has to get the $1500 license regardless if she works at a MP or not, but I could be wrong about that. And like I said, ashley already has a large enough fanbase. There are a number of safety measure that indys use, and I'm sure ashley can get some valuable advice from the ladies in Vancouver, Calgary and Winnipeg.
I'm also looking at the advantages for us pooners too, P-Man. Why can't Edmonton have the same independent SP scene that other cities have? Why must people keep reinforcing the notion that MPs are the only choice in this town? Why do we tell SPs who think of moving here that it's their only option? The big disadvantages of MPs here in Ed-town are the 11 PM closing times. Sorry, but people don't stop being horny after 11 PM - in fact, I'd venture to say people are at their horniest between 11 PM and 2 AM!

Plus, the independent SPs don't have to work on a fixed schedule, and if she's not busy then she doesn't have to waste her time sitting around in some MP for 6 hours - she can go shopping for lingerie or something.
