....I am on the horns of an enema. But, that's the fun part of life. Choices.

Some background....because I do want your input. And, without background, you could hardly supply much beyond a guess. I live alone. I am 51 years old. I was born in the states to Canadian parents so I have a dual citizenship. Two lovely daughters....one going overseas for a year...the other entering her first year of a private uni that will require her to reside "on campus". I love what I do for a living and can ramp it up to the point where I am away more often than not. I maintain civil relations with the ex.....she will receive a slightly different version of this same posting...entitled..."shoot a hole in this for me". I haven't the time nor energy for a g/f or wife....I tried that once. Step parenting is silly....my experience only.

So, the synopsis of that is....I have no need for a lot more than about 300 square feet to live in. I have this cool little place midtown....it's a good deal, but it's more than I need.

To the heart of the matter. My cool little hippie bus just passed the mechanical inspection with flying colours. It is fully insulated and capable of winter living, but....nah....that's kind of pushing it. However, for 8 months of the year, it would be more than adequate for my living needs. I will burden my few friends for the remaining 4.

I just need a place to park it. I need to be midtown (Inglewood would be ideal) so that I can commute back and forth to my starting point by bicycle. A power supply is required, a dumping station not....I have access to that....as well as any mechanical repair issues that might arise.

This is not well thought out....but....I am attempting to use the wisdom of the many to predict the pitfalls. Please be scathingly blunt....as I know you can!

cheers,

eddie

p.s. the dual citizenship thingy only matters because my 5 year plan is to drive this puppy down to Point Roberts, park it, and retire there. Freedom 56!

What happened to the dementia and moving in with the ex Mistress.....????????????

If the bus works, live in it. Freedom now, if the neighbourhood and/or life turns to crap you can just move on.

Well if we're quoting the delightful Kelly Bundy...

lol....thanks buddy. As for the ex Mistress, that is still on the table.....likely very workable as one of my "few" friends I will impose upon during the winter months. She is, at least, "kink" friendly.

As for "moving on"...nah, I have too many roots locally. I need to be around for my two babies for the foreseeable future (check that...always)....so moving "on" doesn't fit. I need/wish to be available. I have so much wisdom to impart to them....I was going to add an lol...but, that would be disingenuous. I won't move until they are settled to the point where they want and can financially afford to fly down to visit Daddy and his insane golf course. Right now, their objectives are considerably different. They have lives to build up....I want to watch all that.

I am reminded of some really smart guy/gal who stated.... "It's not what you make, it's what you spend"...... that's become an overriding thought in my world. The less you spend, the less you require of the infrastructure. Less infrastructure = greener living.

thanks again uncleg...I was worried the first reply would be...."eddie, you're an idiot"....i already know that....waste of pixels.

cheers,

eddie.

lol!!!!!!....I love Bundyisms! Christina Applegate is one of the smarter people on the face of this world...much like Jessica Simpson. Both tested (apparently) quite high in the I.Q. department. Still and all, people don't succeed in life without a measure of intelligence and dedication. They both embraced their roles to the fullest. Funny stuff.

cheers,

eddie.

Ed.....you never seem to fail to amuse/amaze me although I've always had a great deal of respect for you. You are one contradictory SOB (kindly intended that is)!

Muslim, hippie, boozehound, whore monger, investor......I'm speechless for a very rare change my friend!
