... what seems to me to be an unusually high number of brand new members posting extraordinarily glowing reviews?

Maybe I'm getting jaded and maybe the coincidentally high number of fake, scamming and phishing ads on LL has my bull shit filters on too high ... but ...

Mind you, some of these are pretty entertaining, both the posts and the ads.

Your Spidey sense works just fine . I agree with you . I had the same impression a while ago.

Unrelated but the unusual amount of touring ladies vs local ladies advertising on the different platforms but my computing could be wrong as I have no stats to support that assumption.

As a reminder to all, leave the moderation to the mods. Flag the post, we will check into it. We have banned some shills and the ladies associated with them, but some of the reviews are legit newbies who we need to encourage, not shit on.

Newbies, please do write reviews and include some details and be realistic. Include the rate, services offered, 4 digits of the phone number as well as the name (first and last if she uses both). Be honest about both the good and the bad and be respectful. Quotes like "she smelled like a fish market" are going to get you in trouble and so will "I am not going to share any details but just be nice to her". The first one means you are a pig and the second one means you are missing the point of what the board is for. It does not need to be a penthouse letter, but it does need more than 2 lines singing her praises.

Newbie here. I'm about to post a glowing review, and understand the concerns, having lurked for a long time. I'll see what I can add for reviews of previous visits and participate where I can to help give my posts further weight.

One thing I suggest SolarSail is to wait at least a day after a visit to post the review. We are often in such a blissful state immediately after a session that reviews can be over the top. By waiting a day it gives you time to reflect a bit and give a well thought through review.

OMG! Couldn’t be stated better.
Awesome examples to help the newbs find their balance. You had me at ‘fish market’.

Great demonstration of ‘Moderation’ in reviews.

As steverino said: wait at least a day whether good or bad.
I’ve posted when in a state of bliss and when super pissed off. It’s best to post when you are calm and objective.

Thanks for the input @steverino and @westwoody. I did take that time after the appointment to reflect and try and be objective. I should have mentioned in my first post, newbie to the forum but not to the business. I've been on and off the past 10 years, enjoying the services of SP/MA's in various cities.

But having said that, when I've read reviews in the past, I tend to weight the reviews from board members against their post count; putting more credence to someone who's contributed here in the past, knowing they've seen and done quite a bit.

Good point steverino, I know I’ve been prone to getting finished at a session, getting home and re-living it with words on here. Probably doesn’t provide an objective review. In future I will wait 24 hours. Makes perfect sense.
Im putting together a duo upcoming in the next couple weeks. Probably going to be the most epic experience ever for me since starting this.
Stay tuned…

Same thing goes for a bad review. Or an argument with a loved one or work collegue.. Sleep on it.

This comes topic comes up regularly.

On a side not I've been complaining to others about certain members being really irritating and rather than let it continuously bother me I rediscovered the IGNORE function.

I now have a grand total of 3 perbites on ignore. #1 posts way too much on their opinions #2 is so needy it's like watching a slow moving accident #3 is like that guy in class that can't keep his hand down asking a question every 5 minutes

Maybe ladies are asking some customers to post reviews?
There seems to be a lot more providers out there and competition is increasing eg advertisers constantly bumping their ads to the top. If a lady posts a nice new pic that’s great but just posting bump, bump, bump…nahhh.

Could some of these new posters be guys who have been active customers/lurkers but never posted before?

Pre-COVID times, I had a couple of ladies politely ask for a review in the post-session texting (i.e. Thank you and your welcomes). I didn't begrudge them for asking as they are trying to stand out from the pack of fakes that exists on Leo List. I put it down to what we see in the hospitality business, where you'll get the "Tell me how I did" survey or the like. If service is great, stands out and will help that person in the end, then I'd say give them that recommendation.

Could some of these new posters be guys who have been active customers/lurkers but never posted before?
That is entirely possible. Just as it's entirely possible that there's long time members that may have sour grapes and know the effect of a slightly negative review will have. Speaking from the lurker perspective for so long, I try and take the multitude of reviews and build my own opinion. I'll certainly put more stock in a review from @westwoody, then I will in one from @SolarSail. ;)

Some of these first time posters the OP refers to joined years before their first post.

It’s hard to imagine a lady joining so can shill herself years in the future. 🤣

Hopefully this is on topic enough since I'm new and my first review was positive... is there a template/guide on what to post / what is too much info?

Ask 100 folks and you’ll likely get 100 different answers, lol!

I do recommend asking the SW if she’s ok with a review (some are DNR and that should always be respected).
Over time I’ve drifted completely away from any explicit details and try to focus on:
- how did I feel about my time with her? Did we click or no? (Sometimes we don’t and that’s ok, could be 100 reasons why)
- How was the incall?
- parking/privacy good or not? (This might be very important to some)
- were communication quick or did it take more time (some SWs have other jobs, hobbies, etc, etc, so it can be days before a response/nail down a date, whereas others can be very quick.
- what are some things that made her standout and would make me want to see her again?

Just my toonies on the subject!

I can totally understand why an sp would ask if they could do a review but I personally don't know any that are. With that said It really does help add credibility to us with how many fakes there are on LL. On the flip side it's nerve racking getting a review (at least for me). You try to give 110% and really hope that comes through in the session.
