Gone, but never to be forgotten
Sorry to ressurect this old theme, but now the final chapter can finally be written.
Last Thursday I saw the young lady who is the topic of this discussion for the 6th time. Yes, I like her a whole lot. As usual, we shared a wonderful hour, but at the end I suspected something was not quite right.
When I left I told her I would see her again on Saturday at the same time. Same usual smile from her. She wrote it down and said she would look forward to it. Me, too.
Friday, I phoned to confirm and was told that she had quit the day I saw her. I immediately e-mailed her and we have exchanged about a dozen e-mails since then, but this morning she laid out all the details for me. Many intolerable customers but also a nasty boss who is very highly thought of on this board, but not if you are an employee.
I wish I had something good to say about this, but can think of nothing.
She has agreed to see me when I return but that remains to be seen.
Considering all she wrote to me this morning I do not understand how she could have lasted as long as she did.
