TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT THIS MISS BIJOU. This is what you are supporting!
Idiot. And you really have a serious comprehension problem, Anita. (or do you not even bother reading and got all your expertise from propaganda videos on YouTube)

I'm done wasting my time responding to your lame , ignorant, bigoted crap.

Hehe :) This is all? Where is the 3 pages diatriebe we are used to from you?
LOL Kind of ironic that she has resorted to petty insults after whining about the same thing in the first line she posted in post #153.

(Sits back and waits for the name calling to be directed my way LOL)

Sounds pretty much exactly what we've read in this thread, doesn't it - almost word for word! If anyone ever wants to know what islamophobia looks like, just send them over to this thread to see numerous instances of it, in all it's ugliness.

Lots of great, very interesting info here (BTW, Daniel Pipes, the MEC and the Gatestone Institute are on the list and Barenaked Islam also gets a mention on the page):

Thank you for pointing out the case of Islamophobia. The amount of ignorance and lack of understanding is shocking, because such traits have become the norm in this society.

Of course Western media wants to create a terrible image of the Middle East -- Western leaders need public support so they can invade and exploit countries in the name of democracy (when the reality is they just want to get their greedy hands on resources).

What people should be questioning is the concept of capitalism. What has capitalism done for humanity (other than make an elite minority more wealthier?) This system has caused people to be more individualistic, where many people are often left alone and neglected. And what are the outcomes of neglected people? Depression, anxiety, crime, hate,.......resorting to prostitutes to relieve one's loneliness *Ahem*

Face it.. not all cultures are equal. That's the pitfall of Western self-loathing cultural relativism. If you go and spend some time in Pakistan or Afghanistan or any Muslim country you'll see that their cultures are inferior. They're living in the dark ages because their barbaric religion still governs every facet of their lives. Western culture has plenty of problems but it's literally light years ahead of the Muslim world. We went through our enlightenment and unshackled ourselves from the manacles of religious fanaticism ( although the Republican party seems to have not got the memo ).

It's true that the average Muslim is probably not much different from the rest of us.. just wants to get on with their life etc. The problem is that they will tell us that but they seem to be unable to rein in their own extremists. And the fact is that all the brutality and stupidity being exhibited by the Islamists is in fact.. being perpetrated in full accordance with what's in the Koran. Blasphemy and apostasy are indeed punishable by death. Islam as written is not a religion of peace but one of subjugation, control and brutal repression. Christianity went through this phase too but the notion of benevolence worked its way through.

Western notions of pluralism, personal autonomy, free speech, political dissent, rational inquiry, open debate, empiricism, representative democracy and gender equality were all painful, hard-won battles and NONE of that is established in Muslim countries. If believing in those principles makes me a cultural chauvinistic imperialist... then I'm a cultural chauvinistic imperialist. Guilty as charged!
Wow....it seems 'White Man's Burden' and narratives of cultural evolution (Social Darwinism) are things you have never questioned! First off, many traditional cultures did not have this arrogant notion of inferior/superior....at least not until they were forcibly colonized and later forced into the world economic system.

Personal autonomy? When was the last time you managed to fully sustain yourself (grow food, have clothes, and shelter all on your own effort?) Of course not, you cannot sustain yourself (be free) without being totally dependent on the system. I find it very funny how the media instills this idea that we, in the West, are FREE. We can't do anything ourselves, we are completely slaves to the system.

All your arguments sound nice in theory, but in reality they have no merit. Don't get me started on gender inequality.

What we have here are huge generalizations, and applying them to individuals ....which is an unintellectual approach.
