You could not be more correct. Canada is at least for my money, the best country in the world. And we who live here sometimes forget that.
I agree. Sometimes it makes me wonder, why people aren't always happy about their leaders. Before I would read things about Harper and now its about Trudeau. I guess people have their own expectations of who leads them but I am sure glad I am a Canadian living in this beautiful country.

I always hear people complaining about Trump fucking the US up but it's mostly about their hatred for him, not how their lives are affected. My family, relatives and friends over there certainly aren't.

Sounds more like Trump.
I hear yeah, it is hard to remember when the guy is so forgettable. The CPC slogan O'Toole has been pushing 'Take Canada Back' sounds like it is right out of the Trump playbook and shows the 'change' in leadership has resulted in no change of strategy. They have senior party members publicly supporting Maga, still court far right Rebel Media interviews, support the gun nuts and still can't stop their dog whistles or distance themselves from their racist supporters.
Current polling gives the Trudeau led Liberals an 89% chance of forming government including a 42% chance of forming a majority government. The Conservatives have an 11% of winning the most seats, but even if they did, who would they lean on to support them forming a government?

Unfortunately the Liberals got away with running an airhead for PM who hasn’t accomplished a thing in his life other than being elected because of his name. He has how many ethics violations? How many times has he worn blackface? How many women has he groped? Why did he fire JWB? Why was SNC Lavalin entitled to special treatment? Why did he leave that private school teaching position mid-term?

Let's start with the Conservatives' refusal to take Syrian refugees, not just because they aren't humanitarians or because they are anti-Islamists, but because they claimed terrorists would stream into Canada. The Liberals instead accept 25,000 Syrian refugees in the four months from November 2015 to February 2016 and continue to do so, and amazingly, no acts of terror ensue.
Or how about climate policy? The Conservatives don't have one and still dispute that human caused climate change is even a thing, while the Liberals' climate policy is based on science.
Science? The Conservatives gutted funding science and eliminated basing policy on science based decision making. The Liberals instead brought back funding to science and rely on it to make informed policy decisions.
Anyways, you get the drift. So maybe instead of being ignorant, the electorate just aren't interested in your K-tel Classics and are more interested in actual policy.
