I so wanted to go see the concert but I had to work both nights. Just wanted to know what I missed!

U2 concert

Went to see them last night and all I can say is that it was bloody amazing. I have seen many bands and appreciate all types of music, but this band is something very special. From Bono's sincere and cameleon like performance to The Edge's wall of sonic power, to the thunder of the beat section, Adam and Larry. It was a show for the ages, I will soon not forget. I saw them in 1982, 1987 an they just seem to get better all the time. Great song selection, from lots of old, Boy, October and War stuff to lots of new. Crowd was great, band was great, my ears are still ringing and so is my memory.

I can't beleive I was that close to the stage. The story of how I got those tickets is even better. I've seen them now 5x. Just fantastic.

Come on Stephanie! Don't keep us all in suspense! Tell us the story of how you got the tickets.

I'm a big fan of U2..

But I have never seen them in concert. Prefer to chill out and listen to them, rather than rock the stadium

The new album is alright, but I prefer the older stuff
I too prefer the old stuff, that is why last night was so special. A total of 6 songs from their first 3 albums.

I saw them in Seattle

the concert was awesome, the company was fabulous (thanks Baby), the cab ride for sushi later was pant pissing scary.

I liked that they played the older stuff too. I could have done without hearing Gloria in place of I Will Follow tho'. I got misty eyed when Bono walked around the catwalk singing Sometimes You Can't make it On Your Own with a young boy he pulled from the audience. The kid knew all the words and he was in awe. Thats my second time seeing them, they have a way of making thousands of people feel they are performing just for them. They draw you in and you feel thrilled to be there.
