Anyone else start here with reading Perbatory first?

I find some of the reasons for getting banned to be amusing (one of my faves below), so I enjoy reading who got in trouble and for what.

"When you get an infraction for bumping a 20 year old post (!) and you lose your marbles about it and rant and rave at the mod who is merely enforcing the rule, didn't create it, it really is the worst time to be a mod. But when she goes the next step and says to delete her account because she's having a temper tantrum? Well then banning her feels terrific, and deleting all of her paid and unpaid posts does wonders to get over being yelled at."

I'm sure we've all had days like that but we didn't get to delete our boss, coworker, customer, a friend, spouse, or that asshat on the bus. That's what seems to make it particularly satisfying reading.

Under some circumstances we could probably leave the original thread , obviously if it’s an unpaid advertising thread we wouldn’t but it’s something to consider.

@Pumped .....I remember this one and even know the lady that this was about. Haven't seen or heard of her since. Must have really had a meltdown about something.

Mods, here is a business idea for you guys: Write a book on all the funniest and craziest stuff that happens on this forum. You will make a killing.

On a side note, reading perbatory makes me wonder how some of these people manage to survive in this world.

Thanks for the recognition all, sometimes the job is thankless and sometimes the Perbatory message is therapeutic. Sometimes we are trying to educate or make a point. Other times, the person richly deserves a public boot in pants with the hope they learn. We get some complaints occasionally, especially if the rebuke is a little on the aggressive side, but for the most part, it's great that people get a kick out of the posts.
