A healthy degree of skepticism is a good thing.Highly sceptical of the Raoult guy, he is very good at promoting himself.
Hence the title of the OP saying "allegedly" instead of "already".Yeah, I mean if there is a legitimate successful cure, it would be the top story of every major news source from the BBC to the CBC, from the NY Times to the Guardian.
Not at all. Hence the relatively small amount of threads i start here, due to being highly selective, compared to another forum.lenny. i really appreciate you scouring the depths of this cesspool known as the internet for all things covid-19. but do you really feel every single thing you read is worth a new thread on this forum? especially when this site is sourcing from foxnews...
Prefer to mix my tonic water with Gin.Drink barrels of tonic water.
I actually prefer Fressca to tonic in my Gin, although I don't get the life saving, Covid-19 busting quinine that is in tonic water.Prefer to mix my tonic water with Gin.

While the use of hydroxychloroquine (and zinc) to treat COVID-19 has dominated headlines for weeks, a new method of treatment developed by Johns Hopkins Hospital has just been given special approval by the FDA to be fast-tracked.
Known as convalescent serum therapy, the antibody-rich blood plasma from COVID-19 survivors is drawn, bagged, and given to critically ill patients.
While the FDA began allowing limited use of the therapy on March 24 for hospitals in Houston and New York City (with an "expanded access program" pending), Johns Hopkins is concurrently developing the therapy with the goal of preventing otherwise healthy front-line medical staff from getting sick. The university is awaiting FDA approval for a second clinical trial on patients who are slightly to moderately ill to see if it can reduce or eliminate COVID-19.
I understand what you're saying. But the bit from Terb is clearly just a cut and paste from some other source. In any event, the blood plasma therapy it speaks of - that's actually a real "thing." I believe Dr. Peter Lin spoke about it on one of his Q&A's on CBC. Using blood plasma is nothing new, this basically highlights the concept/idea...Are you fucking kidding me? TERB as a source now?!?!
Who claimed it was a "source"? Answer: no one.Are you fucking kidding me? TERB as a source now?!?!
Pfizer says it has found a treatment for coronavirus that decreases viral replication
Pharmaceutical giant Pfizer announced it has found an experimental medicine for the treatment of coronavirus. However, the company said it will not start testing until summer. According to the drugmaker, laboratory research shows the drug to decrease and block viral replication of COVID-19 virus.
Pfizer research-and-development chief Mikael Dolsten said the potential treatment has so far shown positive signs in preclinical work. The drug seeks to “counter the expansion of the virus,” Dolsten said. Pfizer had initially planned to enter clinical trials for a COVID-19 drug by the end of the year, according to Dolsten. Now, it hopes to start those trials in the third quarter, meaning “just a few months from today,” he said.
The possible antiviral, “if successful, would be given early in the disease process, when patients are admitted to the hospital,” Dolsten said in an interview with CNBC. The findings indicate the experimental drug could slow or stop the spread of the virus in patients with mild-to-moderate symptoms, though human testing will be necessary for proof.
About 140 drugs are currently in development worldwide with dozens of companies and university researchers in a race to develop therapies for or vaccines against the virus.

It's not that big of a deal mate, seriously. If you don't know the Terb bit was a cut and paste job, so what. You read it and if it so pleases you, research it further, or don't - nothing lost, nothing gained. If he verified the verb cut and paste, then he should just be linking the article. Why don't I just start posting leads from my great aunt's second cousin who's the fourth cousin removed from Dr. Fauci then?
Or maybe i verified the post but like to let entitled &/or lazy folk who think i should provide a source for them do it themselves? Or, alternately, maybe i didn't verify it but intuited it as accurate & liked the idea of linking to TERB & too bad for those who fantasize about some non existent "should" rule.If he verified the verb cut and paste, then he should just be linking the article.
