Any and all Star Trek shows from the past 40 years count, not just the original.

My all-time favorite is the Next Generation 2-parter "Best of Both Worlds", when Picard was turned into a Borg. It was hella intense. The series finale for Next Gen was great too.

"Wrath of Khan" was kewl, and I remember being shocked by the death of Spock.

Original Series - "City on the Edge of Forever" - an excellent story of love, sacrifice, choices and consequences. Kudos to Harlan Ellison

Next Gen - "Best of Both Worlds" I & II - sci-fi at its best. Also, any of the Q episodes

Movies - "Star Trek the Motion Picture" - despite a somewhat slow pace at times, and even though it was basically a re-write of the Original Series episode "Changeling", it was an awesome movie. Visually it was stunning and, for its time, was one of the most technically challenging movies to have ever hit the screen .

Deep Space 9 - The pilot was great (especially when watched while on acid :D ) and "Badda-Bing, Badda-Bang" was a fun story about robbing a holographic casino

As far as Voyager and Enterprise go, there were some good episodes, but none that really stand out too far above the rest, imo.

TNG was by far my fav over all. With Data going AWOL to meet his creator only both of them not knowing the same thing that brought Data to Sung also summoned Lor.

Movies: the original was my fav, with "The Voyage Home" a close second.

Deepspace Nine, enterprise, and Voyager I never really got into them.

I have lots of great Star Trek memories but the best for me far and away was the 2 part Enterprise episode "In a Mirror, Darkly" in which we see all of the characters in a parallel universe. They are all evil back stabbers (some literally). It had a different opening, dark theme music etc.

When I started watching the first few minutes, I could not have been more surprised if someone had slipped me some acid unawares. It was a classic.

As far as the first movie goes, the scene where they showed Enterprise in Space Dock dragged on almost as long as the light show in 2001 A Space Odyssey.

Movie: Wraith of Khan was my fav. Call me a weenie but I still get choked up when I see the Spock death scene. "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few....or the one"

Original: Don't remember what the episode was call but the one that Kirk and Spock are on a world that a Federation officer set up a Nazi like state. Another would be the one that a world that had a history close to earth but the Communist Chinese actually won the war against the Americans and the Americans live like the native Americans.

TNG: Again don't know what the episode is called but it is about a trial to decide if Data is an individual or is property of Star Fleet.

DS9: By some accident Sisko is sucked into a vortex and Jake grows older trying to save his father from the vortex. An old Jake commits suicide to send his father back in time to stop the accident that puts him in the vortex.

Voyager: A two part-er that is call "A Year of Hell"

I'm sure that that there are better episodes for all series but I can't think of any better at the moment

can't name the episodes, but fave moments:

Next Gen: when Data has sex with Tasha Yar
picard as a borg ... same with the movie
when Tasha comes back on a dif Enterprise and has to go back
on a death mission ...

Original: anything with Shatner 'acting'!

Voyager ... anything with Seven of Nine ...
episode where a Q wants to die ... some interesting issues.

Enterprise ... liked the whole series, but the one mentioned above
about the 'alternate' reality with them as 'bad guys' ... particularly
Yoshi's character ... very, very, sexy!

I had always enjoyed TNG growing up so I'm fond of quite a few episodes, some of these posts reminding me of them. But the Q episodes always were the most enjoyable because of that character. Honourable mention would go the episode when Data creates his daughter and the one where they debate over his humanity.

My favourite movie was Star Trek VI.

My favorite was the Robin Hood one, if only to see Worf angrily bellow, "I PROTEST SIR, I AM NOT A MERRY MAN!"

Another memorable Next Gen episode was when Picard was being tortured, and his captors kept asking how many lights are on in the room.

That was a great episode. Patrick Stewart plays a great Errol Flynn.

[Scene]
Geordi is sitting in the crook of a tree, trying to play a song on a lute. Worf is close by, cringing at every note.

Worf walks up to Geordi, take the lute from him, smashes it against a tree, then hands it back

Worf:
{somewhat apologetically} Sorry....

I thought the Deep Space 9 episode with the Tribbles was one of the better ones due to the use of scenes from the original series. I had two favorite scenes in that episode... one when after a fight with the Klingons, the crew (including a couple of DS9 members) is standing in a line being berated by Capt. Kirk. The second favorite scene is when the DS9 crew look at the human looking Klingons and Dr. Bashear looks at them and says "Those are Klingons?" and they turn to Worf who looks sheepish and mutters "We don't like to talk about it"

Star Trek, great stuff, just loved the original and also TNG.

Favourite episode of TNG was when they found Scotty in a time capsule brought him on board, and when he met Data in 10 forward I believe it was called. Where he asked for a whiskey and Data gave him some synthahol and It looked like Scotty was gonna Puke. :D

Later on when he discovered the Holodeck half pissed on Aldebran whiskey he talks to the computer saying "Enterprise !! you blithering idiot" or something like that,
and says N-C-C -1-7-0-1 no bloody A, B, C, or D !:D
Then to see the set of the bridge on the Enterprise where Captain Kirk and his crew gave us the original series it was like a feeling of being proud.
Amazing how one series can hold you so spell bound.

Scotty was my favourite.

What a series Star Trek was to take us where no man has gone before.

Somewhere Out There
Best ST - original series - a tie between Doomsday Machine and Wolf in Sheeps Clothing (written by Robert Bloch, who did Psycho)

Best ST-TNG - anything with the Borg

Best movie - ST - First Contact

TOS had the best story lines and will always be the classic.
TNG was very good also, DS9 sucked near the end and Voyager was quite good
(very good plots as well and Seven of Nine - need I say more?).
Enterprise had a horrible first 2 seasons, the plots and stories were SO slow moving. It got better with the Xindi story. Too bad it got axed just when it started to improve.

Star Trek movie is about to start production soon, rumor has it is a story of how Kirk and Spock first met.

A question to pooners out there, which girl would you do from each series?
TOS - that blond girl in the episode where Kirk battled Apollo
TNG - any of the woman on Risa
DS9- Dax of course! total hottie!
Voyager - of course 7 of 9!

I've also heard a similar rumor that the next series being considered would be about the early days of Kirk and Spock at Starfleet Acadamy

TOS - Vina as the Orion Slave Girl from The Pilot / The Menagerie I & II

Next Gen - Minuet (Riker's holographic brunette hottie) from "11001001" and Robin Leffler (played by Ashely Judd *drool*) from a couple episodes

Yuppie said:

Ah... but which Dax? Jadzia or Ezri? My vote goes for Ezri... *drool*

Voyager - Kes after she got rid of the stupid wig part way through Season One and then, of course, 7 of 9

Enterprise - T'Pol, of course (pointy ears and nice bolt-on's... hubba-hubba), but also Rajiin (busty blonde) from the 3rd season ep. of the same name

Movies - Saavik (Kirstie Alley - way before the extra padding and the Weight Watchers schtick) for sure from Wrath of Khan and / or Valeris (Kim Cattral) from Undiscovered Country (I've heard that after filming one night, she did a photoshoot on the Enterprise bridge set wearing nothing but her pointy ears :D )

I also agree with a few others who pointed out the "Mirror Universe" episodes from the Original Series and Enterprise (there's also some REALLY good Mirror Universe novels out there too) and the DS9 Tribbles episode.

Another one is "Darmok", which is the one where they crew meets a new race that speaks a language of stories. In an attempt to open a dialogue of communication, the alien race transport Picard and their captain to a planet inhabited by an energy beast, in an attempt to create a bond for the two by fighting a common foe. The famous line of the episode is "Darmok and Jehlad at Tanagra..."
Thanks STIFFY, I loved that one, but couldnt remember the name of the episode.

In the original series I loved the Tribbles. I didn't appreciate TNG when it first came out but grew to love it later on. For movies it has to be Wrath of Kahn...Spock's death scene, Ricardo Montalban, young Kirstie Alley and some of the best Shatner over the top dramatics: Officer: "You did it Admiral!"
Kirk: "I did NOTHING...except get caught with my britches down." Classic stuff.
