Because they get the concept of supply and demand. There is a lot of competition with asp's. If they want the business, they lower the rates. They fully understand that ego has no place in business.

i think you are right on with your line in the sand. prices keep going up and the responses here are mixed...some say the ladies can charge what they want..and i agree.

when pooners decide that prices are out of line with the value and quality of the service provided the ladies will charge less than what they are presently getting..or not getting.

if everyone would approach this from an economic point of view instead of as a white knight, or someone who thinks everyone should pay what they can afford, the pricing would become more realistic.

a line in the sand at 250. is very reasonable. stop paying more to visiting ladies while expecting the locals to offer similiar, or better service, for less.

I think generally speaking, a day's wages for the average guy = one hour fun with the average SP. Since most people's wages have not gone up much the last couple of years, an increase to $350/hr will not go over well.

It will be interesting to see if the free market sorts this one out.

That's a combo of an extremely talented player and an extremely modded guitar. The only thing fender about those guitars is the shape of it. Kind of like saying Slash plays through a Marshall head Try the SRV Tex Mex Strat. Sounds nothing like his guitar.

I've seen the reviews: the lower the rate, the older the asian sp lol, and sometimes the reviewer finds it all so not worth it.

In the end, sps who charge 250+ are not competing with the asian micro; in fact, they really aren't competing at all, even with other similar sps. It is, as pointed out, the micros who are heavily competitive with each other, posting a zillion ads to drown out their competitors. At the old 140, it sounds like you'll see 20-25, 120 = 30-35, and 100 is usually 40+. Nothing wrong with that, but don't expect rates to come down for a young, fit, English speaking local (white or not, Asian-Canadians have higher rates too, after all) with great looks, attitude and personality.

True, it almost seems like these are starting to happen less? Cuz recently a lot of non-micro non-asian sp reviews are showing up with really high L/A/S ratings. Foxes, indys, newcomers, members or non-members. Not that long ago, 95% of all asian micro reviews were glowing and positive, plus the lower rate made it quite a deal. Now even when the same reviewer sees the same sp, it ends up being so-so. (So So, an asian name I've actually heard, but it is rarely used, I wonder why lol)

I have noticed that some of our local talents have quietly raised their rates up to 350. Just in the past 2 months, there were a couple of SPs I planned on seeing but their rates has since gone up to 350. So I wrestled with my decision for awhile and decided not to see them. I did so not because I cannot afford it but because at that price there`s much better use for your money. I bought a pretty decent notebook by not going to see those 2 SPs.

Perhaps you should buy fewer notebooks and then you could afford to see more SPs? Didn`t you already recently buy a new notebook with all the money you saved from the visiting Montreal SPs cancelling their tours?

makes no sense. food is a necessity, and for a lot of people so is gas. also people are going longer between fill ups. stretching their tank as far as they can. more people are taking public transit and riding bikes or walking as a result of high gas prices.

I drew the line at $200 and have recently lowered it to $150. If someone thinks that their twunt is worth 350 all the more power to them I'm just not going to touch the motherfucker she can pickle it for all i care.
