The con man I hated the most was Annette Hathaway's ( Devil Wears Prada ) Italian ex-boyfriend Raffaello Follieri who swindled people by pretending to be the CFO of the Vatican. The most successful white collar con artist in history will always be Bernard Madoff who fooled even the most intelligent and educated financiers in the world from bank presidents, central bank governors, fund managers in the billions. His style was exclusivity. It was a privilege around the world to be invited to have him manage your fund portfolio. The richest people in the world from Africa to the taipans of Asia were in Madoff's waiting list. Even the Hollywood set like Steven Spielberg was not spared. Actor Kevin Bacon was totally wiped out, good things his friends are helping him bounced back. People were borrowing and mortgaging their homes just to invest in him. I guess risk will always be proportional to return. 
Talking about Auckland, it makes me remember one of my favorite courtesans in Vancouver before who moved back there, Sara Solomon. Amazonian, Australian beach surfer tanned, toned beauty-type with a lovable Kiwi accent. Worth the sidetrip visit everytime a Down Under trip is scheduled. She does travel to Melbourne regularly though.
Agreed! It amazes me how many people get away with this type of conning and not have a bullet put in their head. Six years!! Not enough at all. I hope Karma kicks in quick for this guy. That is an obscene amount of money on SPs!!
