You said in order to stand up for yourself required violence or the threat of violence. I gave an example where that was not accurate. You doubled down with 6 examples of:
Actual.
Physical.
Violence.
Which would of course necessitate violence in return (aka self defense). It seems to me you have a hard time differentiating between a physical attack and a difference of opinion.
That being said; I would strongly urge you to avoid any long term relationships, do not get married and for the love of God do not have children. In each of those relationships you willinevitably find yourself in a disagreement and may feel the need to "stand up for yourself".
Which in your case may go horribly, horribly wrong.

Non violent ways of fucking over your enemies. Starve them. Character assassination. Turn their friends into enemies. Economic domination. Get them hooked on drugs and profit off them. Deny necessities of life (water food and shelter). Support their enemies. Religious conversion. On the international level ever see countries do this??
I tend to think that there are more non-violent ways of fucking over people then there are violent ones. Seems people have been socialized into thinking they have to do non violent things more; than to choose violent ways of dealing with people.

A difference of opinion a person can say why things are happening, violence is going to happen when there are no more options to take in a conflict. In our society we are conditioned in school and in most aspects of our society to avoid violence. Our society/governments want lambs, not people who stand up for themselves.
And if your opinion attacks my core values, is it any different from physical violence?
Is our society non violence stance, a condition that we should never be violent with our form of government. But violence is allowable on a individual level, so that there would never be a violent attack against the government?

Well in that case I should already be in jail or dead for my violent actions. Why the personal attack? Are you the type of person who likes to stick a knife in their friends back?? You need to do something that is violent as the last resort.... an insult....
If you are that against physical violence, then you have to stop watching all your favourite sports that contain hitting, contact, slashing, elbowing, checking, tackling, blocking, kicking, tripping.
If not, you just enabling others to perform physical violence.
If you are against physical violence, you cannot continue to support any type of physical violence; which includes sports that contain physical violence....
