Lougheed Martin F35 Lightning

The F-35 is a technologically superior fifth-generation stealth fighter designed for air dominance in contested environments, while the Gripen E is a lighter, more affordable multi-role fighter better suited for nations with smaller budgets or limited infrastructure, excelling in agility and dispersed operations. The choice depends on a nation's specific needs, as the F-35 offers maximum situational awareness and stealth, whereas the Gripen provides a cost-effective, highly maneuverable option for air policing and patrolling, especially in challenging environments like the Arctic.
F-35 Advantages
• Stealth:
Its primary advantage is advanced stealth technology, making it very difficult to detect and target.
• Sensor Fusion & Situational Awareness:
The F-35 integrates advanced sensors to create a comprehensive, unified picture for the pilot, offering superior situational awareness.
• Networked Warfare:
It excels at seamlessly integrating with other F-35 flying nations, promoting deterrence and enabling collaborative operations.
• High-Threat Environments:
It is designed to penetrate and dominate contested airspace, making it ideal for high-intensity conflicts.
Gripen E Advantages
• Cost-Effectiveness:
The Gripen is significantly cheaper to acquire and operate than the F-35, making it a more viable option for many countries.
• Agility and Maneuverability:
Its delta wing and canard design provide excellent maneuverability, making it highly agile in the air.
• Versatility and Dispersed Operations:
The Gripen can operate from austere airfields and stretches of public roads, offering great flexibility for dispersed operations, particularly in challenging locations.
• High Service Availability:
It has very low maintenance requirements and high service availability compared to the F-35.
Key Differences
• Stealth vs. Maneuverability:
The F-35 is a stealth-focused aircraft, while the Gripen prioritizes agility and electronic warfare capabilities.
• Situational Awareness:
The F-35's sensor fusion capabilities provide unparalleled situational awareness, a significant advantage over the Gripen.
• Internal vs. External Stores:
The F-35 carries its weapons internally to maintain its stealth profile, whereas the Gripen carries most of its stores externally, increasing its radar cross-section.

Each F35 costs between $115 million to $140 million Cdn. Contains about $3.2 million Cdn worth of parts. Grippen one-sixth as much with 80% of the capabilities. Possibility of Grippen construction in Canada. F35 at most 2.8% Canadian made components. US$35,000 per hour to operate F-35. The Grippen operating cost about $5000 per hour. For all the far reaching integrated sensors, the F35 doesn't know what's on screen without costly mission data updates involving ground based intelligence to make identifications. Meant for penetrating active war zones. F-35 stealth width optimally of a bumblebee when not degraded or deteriorated. Canada committed to purchasing 16 F35s with option of another 72. I think Canada should stop here and say hello to the versatile agile Grippen E. F35 contractors in Canada may continue to bid.
I would go for the Gripen because Canada is cold and the maintenance is easier on the Gripen.
The reality says get both. 50 F-35 and 200 Gripen.

I would stay away from the f-35 for the biggest reason that we would be completely reliant on the US for spare parts and maintenance components and the US also has the ability to ground any aircraft with remote software kills.

Go with the Gripen and explore other next gen aircraft options. I believe Europe and India are working on a next gen stealth fighter. Maybe, such a fighter is not even needed if drones can fill their utility for a fraction of the price.

The F-35:
Doubt Canadians interested in spending billions to penetrate live active war zones. The expensive stealth capabilities, in reality would likely be left to deteriorate as unnecessary in the Canadian environment unless you're overseas getting into a war your own allies started. Gripen E, you rock! Explore the next generation of aircraft.

Tonka Toys for the air force. They can at least fly when you throw them.
But the first thing to do is maintain discipline, with fucken hair cuts for everybody... Second thing to do is increase the fitness test and do it every 6 months.

https://globalnews.ca/news/11485686/richmond-homeowners-letter-first-nations-land-claim/

You should check out the CBC news points on same subject.
With Native claims to over 110% of Canada, your house is at risk too.
Although in the CBC article, the claim is that Aboriginals will not go after home owners but after corporations, Federal land and city land. So what is the difference between a home owner and the other land owners??
Land that is owned by the other entities; can afford to pay off any land claim, but not upset a home owner (MHO). Or do they wait until the current home owners sale or die and then recover the land?
Either way it will piss off the general public and turn opinion against Aboriginals and their land claims.

It is funny the Federal government can arbitrarily tell Canadians that they will pay taxes (income and land taxes), but won't Tell the Aboriginals that the Land in Canada belongs to the Crown. And then take taxpayers money to bribe them every year with billions of Canadian Taxpayers money.... I don't think politicians have any balls to tell the Aboriginals that or pass legislation to that.

Giving that a homeowner has between their consciousness (on Aboriginal land claims) and having to give up their investment in their home, what do you think they will choose.

Given that this happened over 140 years ago, no one is alive to put in claims. It the same principle that if your Grandfather committed a crime, you the descendant of your grandfather (grandson/granddaughter) will have to pay for that crime.

Everybody in this issue has their heads buried in the sand, hoping it will not become confrontational.

If you want everybody to be equal, you have to treat them equally, and for Aboriginals that means giving up land claims in Canada and start paying income tax and land taxes on reservations.
It would be entertaining to watch indigenous going after corrput chinese millionaires homeowners in Richmond

This court case has opened a whole can of worms for federal and provincal politicians. 99% homeowners and all 100% of all businesss (owning land) vs >1% of Canadians (Aboriginals). If they (the Aboriginals) can vote in a Federal or provincial elections, then they are Canadians. Can anyone see a reason why land claims are so slow, its so that they don't hit the major page of news and is buried on page 9 of newpapers as to not cause alarm to homeowners and Canadian citizens that are not Aboriginal. If you don't like violence, think about this, homeowners with nothing left to lose.

The politicians could simply legislate all Aboriginal Land claims as invalid, on the idea that the Aboriginals and all the land in Canada was conquered/colonized.
This procedure will:
1. Stop over 50 billion every year directed at Reservations and redirected back into general revenue (at federal budget)
2. Give the Federal and provincial governments the incentive to tax reservation and income tax on reservations.
3. Look deeper into oversea accounts of chiefs and other counsel sitting members and charge income tax.
4. All this will make all Aboriginal in Canada equals. They get to pay taxes.
5. Education on Reservations will increase as provincial laws will make the kids go to school. Kinda of shocking isn't it, forcing kids to go to school. After all to be successful now or in the future, any kid will need education at hight school and post secondary education at colleges and universities. As to cultural assimulation, they are already Canadians by their clothes and i-pads and i-phone and android phones etc... Can't imagine why a chief would want to drive a BMW??
6 Get rid of the Aboriginal right to be consulted from the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms (Everybody should have the same rights and freedoms, no more, no less). If they want to be consulted then they should go through the hoops and get a degree in whatever consulting businessmen do these days. They no more have an environmental degree than I do, and therefore should not be consulted on environmental issues.
7. Landclaims will be over the trillion dollar mark if they are paid out. Simply said what is the worth of all the land in Canada, mineral rights etc.

Why not look deeper into the overseas accounts of those corrupt chinese billionaires who illegally purchased the ancestral land of aboriginals in Richmond instead ?It's a well known fact that BC and Canada is a popular spot for chinese money laundering.

That won't affect me.
Those corrupt billionaires have better lawyers, but are in the same boat as any other Canadian homeowner that has land/house/property in Canada. They would have bought into the same system we all have to do to purchase a home in Canada. And you still have to prove that the money they used was laundered from somewhere?

You also have to know that people from Hong Kong, before the British turn over, invested heavily into Vancouver too in the early 1990s. Did criminals come over then? Probably.
And yes maybe alot of criminals did pay their way into Canada by buying favours with Embassy staff. I believe there was a news articles years ago about it?

Its really funny you think someone who works for the government would be ethical, but like anybody else they will break the law to make money.

Spring traditionally the season for federal budgets and aligns with the start of Ottawa's fiscal calendar.

But Carney's government says fall budgets will be the norm going forward...said last month a fall budget gives provinces a better sense of federal policy ahead of their own budget cycles, and gives builders time to plan better for the spring construction season.

Anything related to creating capital assets will be considered capital spending under the budget. Capital spending includes the federal government's own projects as well as spending that stimulates capital formation among provinces, industry or Indigenous communities.

Anything that's not capital spending will be considered operational — that's largely government salaries, transfers and program spending.

...said the change could help the government convince Canadians that it's only borrowing for measures that boost the productive capacity of the economy.

https://www.biv.com/news/mark-carne...arp-departure-from-past-fiscal-plans-11432450

So, no growth in the economy then no increase in revenue and no increase in government wage spending.

(Time dependent diminishing content.)

Due to a lack of resources rather than outlaw such and bring offenders to justice in Canada the Trudeau Liberals introduced Bill C-70 allowing Canadian Security and Intelligence Service to inform research universities of
offshore infiltration.

Today:
•Federal major projects office at $213 million over 5 years. Projects to be announced Thursday.
•David Eby up for leadership review in a rift including unions looking for locally produced ferries.
•Site C, a brilliant engineering accomplishment for an extra 6 billion. Including $1.1 billion geotechnical shoring up the right bank mid project. $1.6 billion for Covid.
•Seems nobody thought of dredging under Iron Workers Bridge in time for Aframax oil tankers to load capacity. An area about size of 3 soccer fields.
•Obtaining clean energy from dung looks like such a waste of everything including money and Canadian intellect considering costs of most likely imported equipment, even for a few rare gases such as Argon. (picture). Dung used to be just good organic fertiliser.

Sikhs seen in very small numbers in Canada after WWII. India as whole contributed 2 million volunteers at the outset and grew to 2.5 million. With 2% of India’s population Sikhs constituted 20% of the Indian Army. Fought in Burma, Italy and North Africa. A lack of consultation in entering war led India to seek independence after WWII.

Easy to post racist shit when you have no clue about actual military reality.
Two well known VC’s….

I don’t know any actual veterans- including myself- who would begrudge that stamp issue. Being offended by it says a lot about the poster.

Today:
•rare mineral mining for New Brunswick
•nickel mine for Ontario. CBC back in the '90s broadcast in most every newscast for weeks about the abundance of nickel in Canada. Wonder if another nickel mine can make any difference.
•more LNG for BC. At an inlet north of Prince Rupert.
•hydroelectric for arctic coast. $3 million budgeted for designing and planning. Estimate half billion to completion for 5 mega watts. Contrast Site C $16 billion for 500 mega watts or 480,000 homes. Churchill Falls $3.5 billion 1971 and 5000 mega watts.

We looking at an arctic pipeline terminus?

Sisson in New Brunswick makes sense.
Crawford in Ontario is debatable.
LNG is probably okay.
I wouldn't bother with the Arctic hydro.

Silencing the Scientists: Dissent, Censorship, and the New Technocracy
By Mark Keenan

...not censorship in the old sense of banning or burning books, today’s suppression often takes the form of reduced visibility — algorithms that downrank or bury dissenting views until they are difficult to find.

...studies that confirm policy rather than challenge it — producing policy-based evidence instead of evidence-based policy.

https://www.globalresearch.ca/dissent-censorship-new-technocracy/5905618

Money rules. If science professionals can't speak their mind, those off the grid need to find and explore rabbit holes. Google concepts taking too much for granted and terms you don't understand. Try asking AI for decenting views.

Canada’s ‘State Capture’ Problem Comes Into View

...the Law Society of British Columbia warned members lawyers receive threats demanding “substantial sums of money....some face explicit threats to their physical safety.

...what “state capture” looks like from the ground up....Canada’s security arms have not been empowered with modern laws, or funded and trained with the practical resources, to push back against the incursions of foreign mafias and spies.

...powers do not need to influence every politician or official in a target country. They only need enough of them — and specifically the ones positioned at key chokepoints in geopolitics, economy, intelligence, military and policing. Once those people, and the wealthy families behind them, are perceived to be embracing a hostile power, ‘the ranks fall in line, knowing their careers depend on it...

...transnational repression disproportionately target journalists, activists, dissidents, and community leaders.

https://www.thebureau.news/p/when-officers-of-the-court-are-extorted

Really, as long as Canada keeps consorting with nations violating their own citizens Canadians can expect to see nefarious players taking Canada as giving tacit approval.
