A
Alabama Blaze
It's very funny how little has changed over the past 16-years in Alberta. At least in regards to the drama, battles and endless fighting amongst people in Alberta.
Sometimes it's just uttery exhausting; other times it's just hilarious, and other times it's just plain sad. It's our legacy of the past 16-years of endless confrontation. Most of the fights and drama are based on rumour mongering, petty jealousy, paranoia, people trying to police the community or people being too fanatical trying to control someone else's opinion.
The truly sad part is most of the drama and never ending fighting is mostly avoidable. If we were more open to listening to one another and having adult conversations things would be different. A combination of poor leadership, double standards and endless rumour mills have really created a province suffering from caged rat syndrome.
The whole point of the hobby is stress relief and a opportunity to spend some time with a great lady to enjoy a fantasy and take a break from reality.
All the ugliness and endless in-fighting in Alberta has the exact opposite effect. You end-up feeling stressed, miserable and exausted. You're spending $1000's of dollars a year only to experience the exact opposite of what you should feel about the hobby.
Hopefully Alberta will come to a realization someday and we'll remember what the hobby is really all about. 90% of the experiences are positive one's if you're willing to let go of all of the drama junkie issues.
There's hope. I believe there's a lot of good people who are at a breaking point who are 100% sick and tired of the insanity in Alberta. Hopefully we'll hit that breaking point sooner rather than later.
