Another reason would be a lot of our best young athletes get into hockey instead as it's a much bigger part of our culture and being an NHL player looks,sounds,and pays a whole lot better than being a soccer player.

Pawn shops are usually a good cheap place to find lightly used wedding rings. Shopping there is'nt high on the list of most future brides so there's usually a very large selection and they did'nt pay squat for them so prices are much more reasonable then what you see at glitzy jewelry stores.
