Most cooking that seems daunting is actually pretty easy if you break it down. Plus almost everything can be learned on YouTube. Bacon in the oven is the only way I do it too. The market next to me sells whiskey smoked rosemary bacon and it is heavenly.

I fully agree (see my food porn thread, hah). I do like to eat out once in awhile but as a whole I prefer making everything myself.
