You are pretty offensive for the most part, anyway, but to me it sounds very much like someone who ends up defending the accused just because he has an issue with the messenger. Which makes you sound like someone who thinks it is okay to use their board membership in order to get special "favours" from new sps, or established ones, and don't want any sps to report on this rather common phenomenon. If too many sps find out that this goes on, maybe no one can get away with it, huh. I don't think she's ready for the business then. She hasn't been coached well enough on what to expect in this business. She will meet assholes and jerks that will try to take advantage of her and try to push her boundaries. She needs to know how to deal with them prior to getting started. It ain't all "Pretty Woman" out here.
Susi was right! It did happen to me and it is a common practice used from the same kind of people she is talking about. Obviously they try to be intimidating verbally and in their manners. They can't go on and get away like normal honest people do in life, that's probably why they feel the need to proceed by threatening and tricking the people. I spoke with clients/friends as well and I know this is the way they like to do business with other people in any other kind of business. My friend read a book about business relations with them and he told me it is unbearable all the tricks and tactics they can use to try to rip off and vanquish people. Including turning the heat on in the summer when it's 30c outside just to make people uncomfortable and trying to ruin their sleep. Not all of them are like that of course. Some of them are wonderful and treats people very nice, but you have to learn to recognize them. Keep your eyes wide open.

I am not sure why people seem shocked by this --- this has happened to just about every new sp out there -- threats from people claiming to be reviewers to get more for less.
The same thing happened to me another time with a regular. When I told him I would not see him again, he started PM the members who reviewed me well in the past as I no longer accepted reviews at the time and he tried to bad word me and calling me a piece of work in order to meet in the hope that maybe they would stop seeing me. Not to mention about the number of bad review threads coming from black-listed clients or individuals that have been simply refused a meeting or options from a SP. Like many other great SPs, I do not need to rely on Reviews or freebie.

I agree. As for myself, I have an electronic agenda with the handles I have met in forum with short notes. If a member had some issues or behavioral problems which is rare, I do not see him again and I truly tell him politely. I recalled few members who reacted in a very bad way from my polite honesty (not the guy mentioned previously) same thing when I politely refused an option. I always keep clear record of who I see in forum and I do not keep phone numbers for my own safety as I too have a life beside. I am also aware that it's a competition board first and not only clients are posting. Happy New Year
