All this talk of collars must have the local dominatrixes all worked up.
LOL!!

The terms actually have nothing to do with money, it was an easy way to distinguish between the types of work people were performing.

A white collar worker was a salaried professional who tend to work more with their minds solving issues, managing, planning etc,.but has been generalized to those that work in an office environment. The phrase was coined because these individuals wore white collared shirts with ties.

Where as a blue collar worker was someone who performs manual labour and is paid by job, or an hourly rate, and the uniforms they wore were blue collared shirts. This has been generalized to those that perform hands on work, fixing, building, repairing, manufacturing tangible products.
An old joke:

Q: What's the difference between white collar and blue collar workers?

A: White collar workers wash their hands after they go to the bathroom; blue collar workers wash their hands before they go to the bathroom.

Smokie spewed the same shit a few months ago (as "raider") on Sydnee's board, and got pretty much the same reaction. He recently chenged his handle there to "Big Bad Leroy Brown". He had everyone fooled until about the third word in his first post.

Smokie would do well to take some of his white collar wealth and invest in remedial English courses. But, that still wouldn't cure him of his delusions that he's the only pooner here with an above average disposable income that allows for indulging in pursuits like pooning, and that everyone else is a "poor" blue collar worker.

It must be old money, or an inheritance...

...because most, if not all, of the higher-paying jobs in this city require someone to be able to put together a coherent, spell-checked resume that does not sound like it was written by someone in kindergarten.

I know in my place of business, a single spelling error on a resume places it firmly in the junk pile. This is the age of automatic spell-check, so errors imply laziness. Same goes for miscalculations...hello calculators!

I suppose one possibility would be that he could be in sales. Specifically, crack sales. But that wouldn't exactly make him white-collar. Lucky if he even has a tank-top.

p.s. I apologize. Kindergarten kids do not deserve the insult above.

For a captain of industry like you raider, raider 101, Zeus, Bear,Bad Bad Leroy Brown , Smokie832 countless other names, you seem to have a great deal of time to devote to the boards. You contribute nothing, all you do is whine about how everybody picks on you like some pathetic welfare crackhead, which I imagine you are, so if your so superior to us lowly blue collar workers why do you keep crawling back and inundating us with your drug induced fantasies about what you think we should do with our lives! You've been banned and warned so many times even a crackhead should be able to figure out nobody cares what you think! Just the ramblings of a blue collar worker "It's just my job 5 days a week":D:D:D

Come on...it's fun!

It's like making a cat chase around a piece of string. It's fun to watch them desperately and pathetically hunt the string as if they were a great lion and the string a fearsome prey. Of course, we holding the string know better, and can stop when it ceases to amuse us any longer (although leaving the cat feeling defeated and frustrated).

But Smokie will still believe he is the lion...er...rich, white-collar, high-end SP type of guy.

I suppose there are plenty of "rich" people in the good ol' USA who drive tricked-out fancy caddies, have massive homes, and all the latest tech gadgets too. I should say, there "were" plenty of those people until things exploded and they realized the couldn't finance their dreams with quadruple leverage. Lost homes, lost cars, lost jobs...

Smokie, rich don't mean shit when you ain't putting any away, dude. Doesn't count when your NET worth is negative.

Stop this NOW

How is it possible that this argument and disagreement can continue over so many pages of a hijacked thread. One would think that all of you have better things to do with your time.

stop it, now

I've been watching the news and nothing in the last week on this. It will be interesting if it goes to trial.
What names and who will be brought up?
How far will the Crown persue this?
If I was them, I'd cop a plea to keep it out of the media. It would be a circus.
No chance at that - she's made it quite clear she will be using the media attention to speak out for SP's rights....

Then she better be ready to do the max if convicted. It's one thing to protest your innocence but do it quietly and in court. Or even plea out quietly. The crown will not be happy if she tries to turn this case into a referrendum on Prostitution and acts between consenting adults.

The entire reason she was targeted was because she was too open in her activities. I know there was the CFS accusations but in the end the authorities don't like people openly "rubbing their noses in it." There are lots of SP's in this town who have operated for years with LE knowing who they are and what they do but because they do it quietly they leave them alone.

Now if Sydnee want so turn this trial into a big show you can be sure that when its all over and IF she is found guilty, the crown and the judge will bring down a much bigger hammer since the eyes of the world are upon them.

Oh and then CRA will have a crack at her.

Every girl I know that treats this like a business, and not a way to just party, pays her taxes. I really, really dislike judgmental attitudes. I know maybe 50 (probably way more) girls in this business, and maybe 10 of them don't pay taxes. Most of the girls I know are saving, putting their way through school, or this is their career, and they plan on buying a house. Thanks

hey, I don't think that anyone is saying that sp's don't pay declare income & pay taxes..

The self-employed are more likely to turn up on the CRA radar screen as potential audit candidates . in the event that the CRA deems that you might be hiding some income or declaring excessive deductions and expenses, they will put you through a detailed, painful and expensive audit . . . ouch...

I'm not saying she doesn't file or pay taxes.

All I'm saying is that this is how the system works. I don't agree with it and I'll be the first one to say this "witch hunt" against this lady is a ridiculous waste of the system's resources. Resources better utilized battling real crime. That said, I'm also realistic enough to know that in the real world, it's not always about right and wrong or doing the right thing. In situations like this there are all sorts of sub-plots and individuals with their own agendas and careers to advance. You piss off someone with an axe to grind and connections and your life can become hell.
A buddy of mine in New Brunswick, had an ex-GF accuse him of stalking her. She had no proof but because they had been in a relationship, the cops said they had to investigate under the domestic violence laws. She also happened to have an uncle who was high up in the local police force. Next thing he knew he was arrested and charged with stalking and public mischief. In the end he was exxonerrated (the trial judge actually reamed out the crown and the cops for even bringing it to trial) but the next year of his life was hell and it cost him over $20K to defend himself.

And lets not turn this into another discussion of SP's paying taxes. As a business owner (actually 3 businesses) and someone who has unfortuantely been audited a few different times, I know how CRA and the system works. Have any of you EVER been audited? I don't think so. It's one thing to file and pay taxes. It's a completely differ to be auditted where you are presumed guilty and have to prove your innocence. And as xmy556 says it can be VERY expensive, which by the way you are out of pocket for.

Seriously shut up already..

If you choose not to do this.. then don't..

girls are being rapped, hurt, beaten, and possibly even murdered.. so for girls to ask for a simple reference from someone you have seen already, or a verification.. I don't see why that is soo freaken hard..

There are going to be girls who ask, and there are going to be girls who take the chance and don't..

Most girls who have any brains.. would do some sort of verification, if someone comes to see them, and rapes them, how are they suppose to go to the police, with just a description.. what if they don't have time to see their face, or notice any tattoos or markings.. at least if something did happen to them, they'd would remember how they got verified and take it to the police... you cant just go to the cops and go here is his email address.. "joeblow123@hotmail.com" they are going to say yippy that does nothing.

You are truly a horrible person to even suggest this of people..
I understand your concern, however nobody is being busted for seeing a service provider, unless you choose to see street walkers out in the open.

If you have found someone you enjoy, then stay with them... People only started doing verifications i hear a few years back.. but do to the behavior of clients towards the SP's I feel as though they should take the up most precautions in order for their safety.. Do you even know how many problems girls have had?, probably not. How many people are blacklisted for some girls, due to soo many problems they have put on Sp's? probably not.

You say this needs to stop, but what will you insure the SP's that nothing bad will happen to them, if they don't do some sort of reference or verification? It seems as though this is one sided.. and its your side only.
Well put, like I said before, the ladies have every right to ask for what ever info makes them comfortable. You and the rest of us have the right to two choices, take it or leave it. You may not like it but that's the way it is.
