Not sure where you got this mode of thinking. I don't think it's healthy to blame everything on yourself, especially things that weren't even your problems. Besides, there are unscrupulous wives/girlfriends/SPs who will take advantage of you if you let them.

When something happens, correctly identify the cause and blame the deserving party if necessary. If people think they can get away for misbehaviour just because they belong to a certain gender, they better think again if they are in my company.

If you are alive and human, there is usually drama. [I can't speak
for coma cases, and have never been there.]

Relatively speaking, though, probably less drama with an SP
than a GF or wifey.
