You can't tell me Canuck fanatics don't swallow hard and think, "oh oh, is this the start of The Slide" every time they lose to a bottom feeder.

They always have trouble with bottom feeders and play well against better teams. Odd but true.
Yeah that is so true. Which is why I'm hoping they face San Jose or Detroit in the first round. They'll have more trouble with a Dallas or Columbus team.

Maybe the bandwagoners think that way. Anyone that knows the Canucks knows that they typically play shitty against the bottom feeders and pretty much always come back with a strong game the next go.

"pretty much always come back'.... oh yeah, since when?

1971?

1994?

Or when the Naslund/Bertuzzi circus was here? With Cloutier in net? gimme a break, you bandwagons are just asking for a beating...

Funny when Vancouver's #1 goalie was out noone cut that slack for their losing games.
So how many Stanley Cups does Thorton have? Cheechoo's having a banner year too eh. Other then Thorton and Marleau most of their players are having about an average season as the Canucks. And for how highly touted Thorton is, I'd say 79 pts is pretty sad. Is he a great player yeah, overrated though. And what does "recent playoff success" mean? Squat. or does it carry over to this year or something?
And people like yourself are the wagon jumpers thanks. I watch the games, winning or losing.
Why do you jackasses figure that anyone who supports Vancouver win or lose is a bandwagoner?
Weren't the Sharks supposed to win it all last year, and the year before?
I don't recall seeing any of the Vancouver fans here saying they expect them to win the cup.
Hmm - where do I start. Get over it. You are the type of face painting fan that drafts all Canucks in a playoff pool. With most of their players having an average season - I guess Marleau and Thornton are pylons since their team only has another average 100 point season. As of today - the Sharks are 1st in the conference - WTF are you smoking? For that matter - what does an average Canuck season mean and what are your expectations for them this year? A Cup or the typical lowered expectations season with a short playoff run?

Playoff success means making it past the first round on a consistent basis, it means having some tradition and it means not losing to lower teams and blowing 3-1 leads with home ice advantage. It also means that a Sharks fan would expect more out of their team. What do you expect out of the Canucks then?

I already stated my case - make a deep playoff run - at least to Game 7 of the second round. I brought up both San Jose and Detroit to stress how far ahead they both are this year and in years past. Don't try to drag Thornton with his underrated over 1 point per game career average into this thread as you will look like a fool (too late for that). Also - I like how you conveniently left Detroit out of your posts but I guess it is because their recent playoff success means squat.

Trackie, why so hostile? Serves that ShybutStupid right, a newbie, even daring to defend the Nucks when he just joined, if he joined PERB just to defend the Nucks, he's pretty damn stupid. 115posts since March?

He's comparing Burrows to Thornton? Bet he's the same canucklehead who'd rather have Burrows instead of Joe in a trade, eh?

yup, Teejay's right. Shydude probably painted his own face with cum before going to the Nucks games in the Coliseum, or something like that. It's terrible. he must have a financial interest in the team, or knows the Aquilini brothers, his demented, direction-less support for the team defies logic, belief or any realm of understanding.

We can all support our 'home' team, but to claim the Nucks are doing pretty good, with this 11 game home winning streak, followed by a 10game home losing streak in January, OH YEAH BABY, this is a team that's going all the way, isn't it, you worthless bandwagon fans, huh?:p :p :p
