Just a few points.

1) A .22 is a rifle, not a type of shotgun.

2) Guns don't have to be registered in the US, in some states the store has to keep a record of who bought what, but there is no 'gun registry' like the Liberal billion dollar joke we have in Canada.
As far as I knew, they did have to be registered in the US. Are you sure they don't  If not, shows like CSI etc oughta take that into consideration when they run a gun's serial number and say that it's registered to a Mr. so-and-so :p

When a Firearm is purchased from a Dealer with a FFL (federal firearms license) the buyer is run though a FBI Database for a criminal record, and the Dealer is required to keep documents when this is done and what firearm. It's a semi-registry in that the FBI can see who bought the firearm but not really registered too. The thing that bypasses that is a private sale, the information may say so-so owns said firearm but that information is not updated and that person may have sold or given or destroyed said firearm.

In Nevada where one if the CSI's takes place, To have a Concealed Carry permit you must qualify with your firearm and it is recorded on your CCW permit the make, model, serial # etc.

Can I ask "Why is there a form on this site for Gun Control when the only gun that concerns me on this site is between my legs"?
