Why anyone needs more than a rifle or a shotgun for hunting or to defend himself is beyond me.

handguns and assault rifles are only designed to kill people, not animals, and have no place in our society as far as I'm concerned. Personally I feel the same about grenades and rocket launchers too.

Another case that gets me is an 11 year old kid shot his pregnant stepmother in the head while she slept a couple weeks ago in Pennsylvania. The gun wasn't registered. Why? Because it was a youth shotgun and such weapons aren't required to be registered. I believe it was a .22 but I'm not positive.

Just a few points.

1) A .22 is a rifle, not a type of shotgun.

2) Guns don't have to be registered in the US, in some states the store has to keep a record of who bought what, but there is no 'gun registry' like the Liberal billion dollar joke we have in Canada.
