I recently had a conversation with a new "fave" and as we got to know each other better it came out another old fave of mine is dying of drug abuse. For me personally that makes 3 I know real well who are out of the biz on a slow road to death- 2 had kids taken away. I now know 2 currently going in the same direction both also with kids.It makes me now think twice about "seeing" someone who I know is using even just recreationally as that can sure seem to escalate fast. I am lucky enough now that my new fave just loves her kids and fuc*king.

That is the sad truth about this lifestyle.. I have seen maybe 13 or 14 girls and ladies.. in the last 3 years.. about half of them had a drug addiction and about half of them are not in the business any more not all related to drugs but in most cases yes.
Low self esteem .. maybe ,but i think alot of it is just the fact that they need something to face another unknown client.. to find that point where they don't care how they feel about the whole situation..Not every one loves what they are doing .. and not everyone that does , they don't loves every minute of it.

It seems that in the escort world .. drugs are rampid.. how meny are truly addicted .. how meny will admit to it.. and as long as they stay where the drugs are available they will allways be tempted to keep using.

Why? The dealers aren't forcing people to do drugs, drugs sell themselves. Locking the junkies up would make more sense.
Sex and Drugs - they go together far too often than people want to admit. For example, Meth makes people horny (usually), which initiates sexual situations. Pretty soon, the two go together, until sex and the drug become one. The result, can't have sex without meth. Once the addiction takes hold, its downhill from there. The drug rules, and strips away any moral sense, causing the user to take risks, unprotected sex. The enjoyment of natural sex is gone, and soon, the enjoyment of sex with meth falls, causing the user to engage in stranger, kinkier activities.
Any responsibilities the user once had don't matter anymore. Any "normal" job becomes impossible, and now its a cycle of sex, for money for drugs, and back again..
This hits home. My university educated sis has now gone down this road, and the road is getting shorter and shorter. A year from now, I cannot imagine if i will even know her.

I've tried weed a few times, and for me at least...it is the most over-rated shit in the world!!! A hard stiff drink goes miles beyond that stinky shit!!
As for the hard stuff, I won't go near it...although I am curious about trying a drug in South America but can't recall the name of it ...that lets you see the other dimensions of this world we live in. Yes folks...what we see is only a drop in the bucket!
You got the wrong weed dude! Seriously marijauna is not a problem........hard drugs are. They ruin lives.
About the second part of your statement.....South America? Save your self a lot of loot if you want to see other dimensions........just get someone to hook you up with some acid and some magic mushrooms! You'll see everything you want plus things you don't!

Marijauna (like alcohol) has the potential to destroy lives. While I agree that for the majority marijauna can be a recreational tonic, it can take over some lives. I have know 3 people who lives have gone on hold or crumbled about them as they search for more and more high time. For one of them emotional issues likely triggered it but not for the other two. I suspect for them it is case of an addictive personality.

In our society nobody needs to take responsibility for his/ her own action and choices. Everyone is a victim of something, somehow, somewhere. So nobody is at fault because everybody is a victim!!!

This is also true. If you take away a person's drug of choice (whether it's alcohol, meth, coke, whatever) you pretty much strip away anything they thought was them. Most people who get into addiction will never recover and have 'normal' (ie, healthy) relationships or sex (let alone a normal life). The majority people either burn out, or die. Sad but true. I hope your sister gets better, she can recover if she has the desire.
Ever since pooning, I stopped smoking weed, just when two new addiction comes up, CASINO and POONING. When you stop one temptation, two new one comes out. How do I kill these demons inside of me?
Well..It's not an addiction if you haven't spent all your money on it. Have you ever heard of rich people being addicted to drugs? They have enough $ to feed all their addictive habits that when they got tired of drugs. They go pooning, tired of that, go casino. Tired of that go do more drugs. It goes like a cycle, in the end, they don't get addicted, just keep doing it over and over again.

I respect your post and your opinion, however I can't agree. There is a large segment of the hobbyist population that has no problem with self esteem. Instead, they (we) hobby because sex at home has gone downhill either in quantity or quality. Possibly, other forms of intimacy have also declined with the increasing number of years of marriage (such as holding, hugging, kind words, etc.).
I'm not saying self esteem is irrelevant, just that it is more relevant for some than for others.
For myself, I'm happily married, have good friends, a good job, and so on. I still hobby (am brand new to Vancouver - most of mine has been in California, with my red book as the forum).
I've also not found any of the AAMP (is it called "micro" here???) women in the San Francisco Bay area to be drugged up - at least not in any way I've been able to detect. Mind you, I've been seeing Asians, so perhaps there's an ethnic difference.
Anyway, thanks for the interesting post, I just had to toss in my $0.02.

Marijuana, like alcohol, gambling...is not inherently addictive. It, and they, are addictive to a small percentage of the population. If you can't cope, then don't use.
