He had a cold and was fucked up on nyquil...and late nights with strippers.Avarice sounds like a great offer but I hate to be the one to tell you that Chuck isn't going to win. He was one of my favourites until I watched this.....

WTF
Jerome LeBanner from K-1 wants to fight Tim sylvia now too. I would love to see this, JLB would destroy him.I would like to see Lesnar beat the shit out of Tim Sylvia.
i wouldn't call them washed up so what if they lost 2 fights. Look at rampage jackson he lost 3 fights via knock out 2 to wand and 1 to shogun two years ago and look at him now he looks to be unstoppable. I think it's all about changing your game and covering your weaknesses.Wanderlai and the ice man are both washed up. Both Silva and Liddel have lost their last two fights. I want to see Houston Alexander back in the ring though. And hopefully GSP wins.
First off, in the sport of MMA when you lose two in a row it is a big deal. In the light heavy weight division which is ultra competitive ONE loss is a big deal.
Chuck was handed Jardine which should have been an automatic after he lost to Rampage in order to set up the Chuck-Silva bout by Dana White. He lost that. Chuck is a one trick wonder that fighters have figured out. He uses that overhand right which Jardine quickly figured out. Granted he does have good take down defense but still was not able to counter against Jardine's leg kicks and he just does not seem as quick as he used to be.
Wanderlei, losing to respectable opponents like Henderson and Crocop is nothing to frown at. But, like many fighters (ex. Crocop) after a KO by Henderson he has not been the same. Watch his fight against Crocop and you can see why I say he is washed up.
I guess only time will tell if they are washed up but now in my opinion they sure do look like it.
No, you didn't. That's why I asked. You should try to stop playing Xbox long enough to read thoroughly. By the way, your ferret's litter box could use a cleaning too.Funny you bring up the "tough" comments because I surely made no reference to that did I?
All the best to you too. And give Mom a kiss for me will ya? She's always so festive at this time of year. Hey!! Maybe if your lucky, she can watch the big fight on PayPerView with you! That'd be rad!HubbaHubba said:Merry Christmas Henry and may all your Christmas wishes come true.
Rampage's case of losing by KO to shogun and Wanderlei is a different scenario than Chuck and Silva. Chuck and Silva both lost two in a row. Rampage did not lose two in a row which in the UFC is a big deal. I dont think Rampage has ever lost two in a row. I never said they were overrated, at their prime they were very good fighters but as you look at crocop they just arent good as they used to be. Wanderlei is also going to have to get used to using elbows and not being able to kick while chuck is on the ground, which Crocop had a big problem with.So was Randy when he retired and lost to Chuck how many times? Then he came back and won the heavyweight championship. People are 2 quick to say guys are washed up and over rated. Wanderlei lost to top quality guys as did Chuck with the exception of a very poor fight against Jardine.
Both these guys are warriors who deserve a little respect. They also said the same thing about Rampage after he was KO'd by Shogun and Wand, and where is he now? That's right the champ as Randy is.
It's cool to have an opinion but the facts don't back yours up.
War Chuck!!!!!
I'll agree with BL on this I've watched UFC since before Dana took it overFirst off, in the sport of MMA when you lose two in a row it is a big deal. In the light heavy weight division which is ultra competitive ONE loss is a big deal.

This fight between Liddel & Silva will be a skillful match-up.So was Randy when he retired and lost to Chuck how many times? Then he came back and won the heavyweight championship. Once again henry you have shown what a complete prick you are.Jeez Hubba! You sure do know a lot about UFC! That's awesome. You know all their stats and you are able to provide wonderful insight about the fighters backgrounds, records and other really neat stuff. Who knew? Do you and your friend(s?) wrestle around in your Mom's basement and stuff and pretend which guy you are? Don't worry, we can't actually see you so its all good. Does watching UFC make you as tough as those guys too? They sure are a burly bunch aren't they Hubba?
Silva is a black belt in brazilian jiu jutsu, so is Chuck if I recall correctly.Ground skills - Silva is a wrestler if he needs to be & THAT just may be the trick he uses to defeat Liddel.
Silva is a black belt in brazilian jiu jutsu, so is Chuck if I recall correctly.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a martial art and combat sport that focuses on grappling and especially ground fighting with the goal of gaining a dominant position and using joint-locks and chokeholds to force an opponent to submit. The art was based on early 20th century Kodokan Judo,[1][2] which was itself then a recently-developed system (founded in 1882), based on multiple schools (or Ryu) of Japanese Jujutsu.
Grappling refers to the gripping, handling and controlling of an opponent without the use of striking, typically through the application of various grappling holds, choke holds, and counters to various hold attempts. Grappling forms an important part of both ground fighting and standing clinch fighting. Sports that use grappling include Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Judo, mixed martial arts and Wrestling. FILA uses the term grappling interchangeably with the sport of submission wrestling.[1]
Grappling is a mode of fighting used by many different martial arts around the world. It is not a distinct martial art, but rather, similarly to striking, a collection of techniques and strategies aimed at defeating an opponent, these can be subdivided into:
Throws (as used in Glima, Judo, Jujutsu, Shuai jiao and Sambo).
Joint locks (as in Aikido, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Hapkido and Malla-yuddha).
Pinning Techniques; a victory condition in Wrestling and Judo and as as transitional technique in others.
Most include all of the above aspects while others focus one. There is no definite dividing line between the sections as locks may be used in throws and a throw may lead directly to a pin. A possible fourth category are sweeps and escapes, used to improve position in ground fighting either escaping from or moving into a position where a lock or pin may be better applied.
btw. It was a typobtw. it's Jiu-Jitsu
Did I say anything was wrong with your post? I was merely adding additional information for those interested. So, what was wrong with my post?
Liddell's a former Div 1 collegiate wrestler...so Silva being a "wrestler when he needs to be" means fuck all by comparison. So, what was wrong with my post?
Well I'm on record as stating that Silva will win.Liddell's a former Div 1 collegiate wrestler...so Silva being a "wrestler when he needs to be" means fuck all by comparison.
He has to get him there first. Which won't happen.By this I am definately saying that Silva will be dominant on the ground.
Yes, your opinion means fuck all.I guess that means fuck all though.
He has to get him there first. Which won't happen.
If Randy Couture couldn't do it Silva has no hope.
Yes, your opinion means fuck all.
Silva by KO in round 2.
