Pandemic 2.0 ?

Experts say the risk is low. Let’s hope they are right.

Lockdowns, social distancing, vaccine mandates, mandatory face masks, travel bans . . . I just can’t do that again.
Did you read the article? Quote: ""We're not talking about casual contact from very far away from one another," WHO official Dr Maria van Kerkhove told the BBC."

And: "Where there is person-to-person transmission, it is through very close, prolonged contact with someone with symptoms."

In other words, as usual: if you are SICK, stay HOME!

Not the same structure as a corona virus but as with zoological viruses, humans have minimal anti bodies.
This one is a real fucker as it takes 3 ish weeks to get set up in gastro or respiratory systems. No cure just ventilation and related treatments.
Hey, not an issue unless you live in a rat infested house or drive a rat infested commercial vehicle for a living.
This really should not cause any panic in the public IF people have even a minimal grasp of what it is.

Majority of hanatviruses are passed from animal (mice & rats) to humans but from what I've read/listened to, this particular hantavirus is spread from human to human. It's not the same as the one rats can carry.

True. It is curious though that wealthy individuals all fell sick. So, was the boat infested?

This variant is human to human & unfortunately for us, Hanta spreads fast & also has a higher casualty.
Traditionally, the more spread, the less deadly & the harder to catch, the deadlier.
They didn't quarantine the boat in time. People left & it's going to pop up everywhere.
WHO sensors their press releases. If you know a healthcare workers, we're all having a mental cigarette right now...
