The Troubadours also sang a lot of shit about religion's intrusions and restrictions.
Most people are weak, fearful, and just flat out stupid. I had a Muslim guy tell me he thinks education is Christian propaganda and that everything you need to know about life is in the Quran. I didn't even know what to say. I was flabbergasted his vote is worth the same as mine. Not a single ounce of logic.

Religion is for people who are afraid of hell and spirituality is for people who have been to hell.
I love a good ritual. And I love going to church sometimes. I think all religions have some great teachers. I love Jesus and Buddha. I love mythology. And anything in fantasy land. I love to pray and meditate. 🧘 Be one in the stillness. I’m happier when I have a good yoga and meditation routine in my life. I believe we are all connected energetically. Evil happens in the world because people get disconnected. I’m definitely 100% agnostic. I have no idea about anything. It’s all so unprovable. But completely fascinating.

If religion is a scam AND marriage is one of it’s most endorsed institutions: Marriage starts to look less like actual love and more like a legal framework designed to regulate property, sex, reproduction, and labor under moral pressure. My Christian neighbour and I have far more in common than he cares to admit. Neither of us believe in Thor, Wotan, Ra or any of thousands of other gods that man has created. I simply add one more to my list. Somehow this annoys him.
