Look left. Way left.
Personally, some details are ok, but it gets tiring reading reviews that go on and on without including the basic information such as the general area, the rates/time, some of the services provided, etc....

There are some excellent reviewers that show these things at the start of the review. This basic information will let me know if I should continue reading.

For example, if a lady charges $800/hr, I can just move on due to my inability to spend that kind cash.

It sounds like you see reviews as a form of advertisement, when in fact, a review should be a review.

And who exactly 'owns' a review? I've had a number of my reviews end up on SPs' sites and not one ever asked if they could copy and paste my review of them.

I get that reviews help PERB and those same reviews can help SPs, and sometimes (unfortunately very seldom) those reviews can help us make decisions about who we want to go see.

Most of the crap posted as 'reviews' should be deleted.
Reviews are absolutely a form of advertising. There is a reason every service you use, grocery stores, hotels, restaurants, car repair places etc… all want you to leave a review somewhere. It reinforces their message.

The advantage of a board like PERB is that both negative and positive reviews get equal exposure, thus the smart advertiser (ie. the SP) who is serious about building a brand and a good reputation, will read them and use legitimate feedback to make her service better.

The amp thread with over 400 posts sounds more like those old chatboxes on the side of a website and I'm not into that format, personally... but I'm not a client.
This isn't just about reviews of an individual provider. For example, there's a AMP review thread with almost 400 posts: Swan Lake Milf All Stars community thread
I don't get it. Maybe this site will implement AI and that's part of the motivation to keep the long thread. To me it seems like most everyone participating in it is piggybacking in one form or another. Finding meaningful content there isn't easy, at least not for me.

There is an old saying in the world of E-commerce: "If you are not paying for the product, you are the product."

We, the users... or at least the minority that write reviews or semi-interesting content... are the product. Various others take that and work it into their business model.

That is the bargain we make for access to this website. If we don't like it... we don't have to have to contribute.

Or if we choose to not contribute for other reasons... or not read the reviews... not read the ads, etc. etc. ..we can do that too. No pressure.

I hope those self-reviews that describe the poster himself more than the SP or the session, get deleted and receive infractions too.
I dont mind a brief description of the poster like age ethnicity and build, can give insight to how an SP might react to you if youre in a somewhat similar position. But yeah some people over due it with unnecessary details

I think the mod means a whole review tacked on, rather than a few comments. Not sure about those ultra long threads since I don't read those ones 😅

You can use the search function within a long thread like this though:

There's no way to please everyone with reviews. If you put acronyms and ratings someone says it's not descriptive enough and ratings are all subjective (I agree with this, tbh), but if you're wordy and describe an experience others come out and say it's not technical enough. Write reviews you want to read, whatever that looks like. Our words here are free, so you can't be upset with what you paid for them

Another issue that’s been coming up lately is members piggybacking reviews, if you want to write a review about the same girl start a new thread don’t add it to an existing review. If the original review gets taken down for whatever reason yours will disappear as well.
This is what they force on merb reviews (all of them in one thread - separated only for incall vs outcall) and it sucks IMO bc well-reviewed women have insanely long threads bc discussion within them inflates them to ridiculous lengths. terb adopts your proposed model and it's better tbh.

The main problem I have with piggybacking is and this happened quite recently, poster 1 posts his review and then poster 2 adds his review to the thread but then poster 1 self deletes his review for whatever reason. Poster 2 sees that his review is gone and instead of asking why it was removed he puts his tinfoil hat on and there’s now a giant conspiracy by the mods to control what’s being posted , eventually he gets himself banned for a month over nothing. And as others have said single reviews are easier to search.

I think you’re giving the board’s search function way too much credit. Members have said plenty of times it’s far from perfect, not great even.

Some members write really solid reviews, but the search doesn’t make them easy to find. We can’t use Google’s site search (which I just recently found out about because the reviews are closed). Anyway, like MB Mod said, it’s usually easier to search through the individual reviews[/QUOTE]

Idk search function on the board has always been pretty simple for me. That's how I dig up old posts I remember to link to people asking questions in lounge and 411 that have been discussed a million times 😂 It's like searching through scientific journals - it's all about the keywords.

Please understand that I am an SP, not a client using PERB; I can't speak for client experience on this board.

I also think MB Mod's post above brings up a very good point. They can't prevent people from deleting their own threads, which would cause many other valuable posts to be lost as well. It's up to the poster to deem the value of what they've written and whether it's worth its own thread at the end.

Yes, MERB is much too far in the other direction. It brings an entirely new dimension to the necro posting problem. Currently page one of the incall reviews section has a thread originally started in 2017 ffs. I personally find MERB difficult to use as a result.

It also highlights one issue I think the mods here are trying to address. More reviews of an SP are a good thing, they let us know a girl is well known and reputable if many guys have seen her and written about their experience. Piggybacking a quick agreement is fine, but in many cases it adds way too many other comments and can take a discussion far off the rails. I for one don’t want to wade through all that crap just to find the relevant info when I’m doing some due diligence on an SP.

We are going to keep the necro posting and multi girl in one review rules. We will have to apply some judgement to over positive and purely promotional reviews and will err on the side of protecting the paid advertisers who pay to keep the board running.

We have way too many one or two line reviews merely promoting the girl, saying she's amazing, telling guys to book her and treat her right. We will draw a spa thread to a close after a year, to allow a new one to start. The only threads that last longer than a year will be from longtime advertisers who keep their ad threads alive (I would personally like to see some of these refreshed once a year as well but I don't make the rules for SP ads) and Perbatory.

I put out a new ad when I get new pro pictures which is about once a year. But sometimes I can be lazy about setting up a pic date. I just like the fun stuff of being a sex worker. I hate all the behind the scenes work hahaha

I think Forum Mod is amazing. 10/10 ymmv.

Searching hasn’t been a huge issue for me, except when you hit those long review threads, like looking for someone and a recommendation/review is buried in a side discussion in someone else’s review.

It’s always good to have some discussion on the review threads, folks asking for particular details (was the SP using a four or a five string banjo?) but once it gets too long it’s not useful.

So, how do they get cut off?

Is it that you have to have the login cookies when you search maybe? Can you do the same search in incognito mode?
For perb search, definitely be logged in.

For Google searches, I checked and it works as @Ratbert_2008 had demonstrated, even in incognito. Turning SafeSearch "off" is recommended for these types of searches.
