As i am closing in to 50 he was right. Because of Facebook I'm able to see what they looked like back when we were in our 20's and think wow they are cute, and not even as close to as fat as i thought they were and now wishing I gave them a shot and totally would give them a shot today

I for one fell for the Canadian / American Dream, obtained unrealistic standards for beauty, and the nerd will get the hot girl and life will work out way of thinking in my teens and early 20's. One of my life's regrets for thinking that way.

I really don't find many to be truly ugly.

There are a lot of very average looking people in the world. Some are very capable of being pretty hot with a bit of style change.

I actually am repelled more by women that are trying too hard to look better by spending a lot of time.
I'm more attracted to women that are intelligent, kind, and warm hearted. A lot of women become incredibly sexy when they get that "look" when things start getting turned on!
