I don't think testing can be done anonymously. Sooner or later, somebody is going to ask for ID. If not at the clinic or walk in, then certainly at the lab where they draw your blood sample.

The province is moving to full digitized patient records. The lab (Dynacare), posts the results digitally to your patient file.
Any results bloodwork/Rx’s I may get at a walk-in clinic my family Physician at the Mb Clinic has digital access to them.

what if you pay 100% out of pocket ? Order a private blood test online, print out the form, take it to dynacare and get the results via Email...will Family Physician find out that way ?

That's what I have been doing the past few years for STI tests, Testosterone checks, Various other biomarker tests, 100% out of pocket, it is expensive, but one avenue for most anonymity possible.

If you are looking anonymity, look for registered doctor's/practitioners who own their private individual practises, so what is discussed is between you and them but the payment comes out of your pocket.

If you have deep pockets, you can order online "private blood tests"... You can order STI panel, testosterone panel, haemotology panels, etc. and print out the requisition and take to dynacare, you get results emailed in a week or so with doctor comments. of course this is uninsured full price to pay, I do this every 4-6 months.

looks like they do a wider option of sti then the other one. Unless I’m reading it wrong.

Hoping one day they can have a test that gives you results in a few minutes. You and any provider can both take it, see the results and have fun without it on the back of your mind. Maybe it’s being worked on, because that would make billions!

Anon testing should be a thing under the Canada health act in MB.

I think you can get this in ON but I’m not sure.

Just curious though, why is everyone interested in the anonymity of testing ? Doctor-Patient Confidentiality IS a real thing, and breaching that would be grounds for confiscation of their medical licencing...

Sometimes your doctor is in your circle of friends or social aquaintances. One of my doctors I am friends with, when he moved to something else, my next doctor I knew from the gym. Sometimes it can be awkward.
