Can you get tested for sti anonymously anywhere in Winnipeg?
Rather than go to my regular doctor, I go to a walk-in. They will call if anything shows positive. I always ask for a follow-up appointment, to come in to discuss the results in person, so I know my results.
Has worked great for me.

True anonymity is becoming more and more a myth.
The more "Freedom" people demand, the powers that be, give in to those demands at the cost of increased surveillance of its citizens.
The take away is to be careful what you ask for.....

With regards to testing and anonymity, you could try requesting that it NOT go through manitoba health and refuse to give health card info and offer to pay cash for the testing.
This does get complicated because the Labs are billed separately, so they would need to acquire billing info in order to send you the bill.

I also go to a walk-in clinic when I am looking to get an STI panel done. The last two times I haven't even had to go to the actual clinic, I book a telemedicine call with the clinic I go to most frequently and when the doctor calls I just let them know that I'm entering into a new relationship and want to get an STI panel done. Doctor will typically ask if I have any symptoms and then send a requisition over to Dynacare.

Like Darth said, they'll call you if anything pops up on your tests, but I find it's better to follow up within about a week to 10 days to get an update for my own piece of mind.

There's nothing to be embarrassed about when it comes to testing. If you are in a relationship or married and don't want to see your GP you're best going to a walk-in, but keep in mind all of our medical records are now digital and your GP will most likely be able to see the test results anyways.

If you are looking anonymity, look for registered doctor's/practitioners who own their private individual practises, so what is discussed is between you and them but the payment comes out of your pocket.

Communications with any medical practitioner is confidential.
The single most breakdown is billing, unless you can somehow arrange to pay the LAB fees in cash also.. Good luck with that.

Do all walk ins test? Also, can follow up be directed to a phone call?

Curious how often SP’s in Wpg get tested. I would assume most of the reputable locals and traveling girls do. It would be bad news to bring something home. I’d be curious how many people have brought something home and not known

You may not know you have contracted something, so IMO best to test on a regular basis if you are doing anything bare. If everyone does their part, we can all have fun, and stay safe.

How is this anonymous though ?? They still require seeing your health card, Name, Date of birth, etc...?

I agree. Just reading that you can get sti from performing oral is scary. And sometimes there are no symptoms.

Not sure complet anonymous is possible, but check discretely if you can. I have yet to do it, so I can’t advise personally.

Checked the 9 circles website and they are so busy, testing is referred to the mobile unit. I can guess this service is more for those on the streets.

I don't think testing can be done anonymously. Sooner or later, somebody is going to ask for ID. If not at the clinic or walk in, then certainly at the lab where they draw your blood sample.

I can’t vouch for other local providers but I personally go monthly.
