I think Canada should have something like the American Second Ammendment, where its is a right to have hunting rifles. Personally I would love to have a mini-gatling gun, that would be awesome!!
But if you use a gun in a crime, you get hit with time in jail, whipped or both, no exceptions.

Many have their panties in a bunch because of tariffs. Nobody should be surprised, Trump ran on it! Regardless, the same thing will occur as it did in 2019, when Trump imposed tariffs. The Canadian government will supplement the economy for as long as possible before renegotiating a trade agreement……remember NAFTA? They should do it now to avoid economic damage. Tariffs on Canada are only intended to make American automakers move back to the U.S., which Trump promised during his campaign. On that note, one of my neighbors is a paralegal for a member of Ford’s Board of Directors. Although she would not provide specifics, I got a huge impression that Ford is either making plans to move its plant to Michigan and/or it will downside the plant in Canada and start producing most vehicles in the US. If I am correct, Chrysler, which is already close to bankruptcy, will do the same. The only thing Canada can do to prevent it is, pay the automakers subsidies to make up for the planned tariffs. However, because the Canadian economy is already close to a recession, that will pose huge risk. China and Germany are currently proposing stimulus money in their budgets. China is reeling from a real estate crisis much greater than the U.S. experienced in 2008-2012 and Germany is in huge trouble over the cost of immigration. In fact, the only country doing well in Europe is the UK and that is because it left the EU. This is a perfect storm and Trump, due to the strength of the US economy, is in the drivers seat. The winner is already set in stone, the question begging to be answered is, how much damage will result during the time politicians try to save face. Mexico, Canada, China and the rest of the world had plenty time to prepare, but nobody thought Trump would win. Blame politicians, not Trump. He announced what he would do long before he won the election!

Nah, we just don’t like Americans.
I love Americans 💕. People around the world are just people.

However, I’m not a big fan of motorman or his opinions lol. Not a fan of any diehard Trump fans or arrogant braggarts that are probably lying.

Some of my favorite people are American 💕.

I’ve met a few that have come to Canada on business thar are ok. They tend to be smarter than the average American who isn’t really concerned or knows little of what is occurring beyond a 25 mile radius of where they live

Support for Poilievre collapses.

That's a shame.

It had to happen. PP's support was buoyed by those unhappy with the Libs leadership. This will all settle back to historical numbers, certainly until the shit storm from the south settles in whatever way that happens.

I work with Americans and Britons, Scots, Irish, Germans, Scandinavians, Chinese, Koreans, Japanese and the list goes on. Actually even Russians. The science world crosses geopolitical borders. The small minded types are everywhere. But in many countries, those same types are definitely more well read than in the US. I think you can see that from some of the trumper-trolls that post in the political forums. In my opinion it comes down to the Dunning–Kruger effect.

The worst news in the budget is that B.C.’s accumulated taxpayer-supported debt is on track to exceed 34 per cent of GDP by 2027-28.....in the late fall of 2022, the net debt stood at 15 per cent of GDP.

B.C. does not enjoy a “strong” economy, if by “strong” one means an economy that reliably produces steady gains in output and real income measured on a per person basis, where the largest export industries are actively encouraged to invest and grow here, and where entrepreneurial ambition and wealth creation are championed as principal drivers of prosperity.

Right now the best option (really the only option since BC residents in general aren't interested) for BC to think about creating a manufacturing sector turning out exportable products would require supporting industrial education. Employers need to be impressed with a local work force into perpetuity, not just a stable tax regime. Youths graduating should be able to safely operate a myriad of mechinal, electrical devices with proof of proficiency in finished individual projects. Measuring, forging, casting, drawing, forming, machining, milling, extrusion, cutting. Three years of four blocks of shops, English, Maths, an elective. Ready to be trained by the employer in most any fabricating or assembly.

Law society hit with defamation lawsuit over B.C. Indigenous burial site dispute

...the ground-penetrating radar discovery has only shown anomalies, which could potentially be bodies, or not.

Not a lawn mower. A ground penetrating radar.

Not knowing body count can't compare mortality rates either who may have been inflicted with tuberculosis before arriving at residential school. The big news really just an oh-so-erudite British Columbian used ground penetrative radar one day who should have been familiarised with a cohort by the end of grade 12.

Since WW2 Americans abroad from the USA have acted badly. They have expected foreign nationals in their own country to speak American, do business with them their way, and act condescending toward other nations and peoples.

Which is why Americans are not that well received where-ever they go. Not to mention their wishy-washy politics when new congress/president gets elected, which immediately change policies abroad in those countries.

Americans do relate well with Canadians, because they have many of the same experiences growing up culturally.

Also most guys are nice to SPs; cause they are tying to get in their pants.... Yup they are thinking with the little head. Automaticly takes off 50 IQ points....PS anything said 30 minutes after organism is not counted....

The other side is we treat our American cousins as that guy that didn't have a big enough sandbox to play in when they were younger.... Pat them on the head and send them back home with cookies and apple pie....

They don’t have to try to get into my pants. I’m a sure thing. lol.

I agree Americans are arrogant asses around the world. I would never go to an all inclusive resort Mexican trip because I wouldn’t want to hang out with Americans.

When I say I love Americans, I’m talking about various sex workers, and queer folk across the border that I’ve made friends with and American clients that are sweet and generous.

Well one thing is the war in Ukraine.
We can switch some closed car/truck plants to retool, to make war machines for Ukraine. With permission from European makers we could make more vehicles, drones, anti-drone weaponry, missiles, 155mm artillery shells, 30mm shells etc.

Using 3D technology we can print up drones for assault missions.

Closed car factories could be retooled to make bodies for:
6 X 6 vehicles
8 X 8 vehicles
Archer & panzer2000 artillery vehicles; (use a 50/50 split- 1 for us, 1 for Europe), chances are the first 50 will go to Europe. Min 200 vehicles made.
Skyranger vehicle (armoured vehicle with 30mm cannon and missiles); min 100 for Europe.
Mine-clearing vehicles for assaults. Min 30 vehicles for Europe.
AVC (US marine) for beach assaults

These bodies could be made with a one time pouring mould; similar to the tesla car mould (made in Italy) to form main structure of the tesla body. Body mould made in BC (electricity and aluminum), body shipped to Ontario for motor and armour plating and electronics. Shipped to Montreal to go by cargo ship to Europe. All vehicles should be BCRN equipped.

We can make mass artillery shells (155 mm), 30mm and other ammo.1 plant in West (BC or AB), 1 plant in Ontario, and 1 in Quebec.

We could make replicas of the Swedish CB-90 fast assault craft. 55 x14 ft aluminum construction with high speed diesels.
Also for our use something like an Amphibious Assault Ship multi-role LHD. 4-6
3-4 TRAM replenishment ships for Mk 41 missile system.
Bulk carriers with Ciwis and anti missile protection systems.

Also we could make Hovercrafts for far northern operations for 4 seasons on/off water/ice use all year. Would use high speed fans with noise cancelling blades and electronics. 20-50 large craft (200-300 ft vehicle carrying), 100-150- medium (125 ft- 1-2 vehicle carrying) and 100 small/tactical crafts(under 80 ft- gunship/ambulance/emergency vehicle).

We could also mass produce assault rifles for Europe.

Doing this to help equip Ukraine and back up European forces Canada could spend up to 5-7 % of GNP surpassing the goal of 2% for NATO.

Manufacturing of these vehicles means parts have to be made too. So it means smaller metal manufacturing in Canada using old sand moulds and newer 3D metal printing technologies.

All of this is easily achievable if people and companies in Canada work together.
