no, incompetent gov't has

along with apathy by society

bad policies

speculation is so small a part it's not worth mentioning

creating a demand that isn't natural, needed, useful, our immigration policy, moronic is the main reason

then gov't policies on taxes/building regulations

Nimby shit

gov't pushed housing costs up, taxes are the biggest cost

in Ont they're pegged at 1/3 of the cost

look at the idiotic land transfer "fees" in some provinces

people stop when you keep upping taxes

it's common sense, of which Muni politicians have the least of

who really control housing
You're the Ornette Coleman of Haiku.

His fans are so stupid, they don't know they're the ones who'll be paying it.
Interesting that he implied the opposite in his speech. His followers don’t understand any of this and he is deliberately just vague enough to keep them in the dark.

It’s also a clever way to sow discord between Canadians. He can favour one and punish another.

Do not underestimate his evil.

Remember when Kamala and Joe were concerned that on the way out that Trump may try to preemptively pardon his family members and associates and swore that they would NEVER do the same thing?

Good times.

You guys would have been absolutely furious if Trump had actually done that and been burning up this thread for months about it.

Biden lied again.....and I expect ...excuses....and/or crickets.

Preemptive pardons are basically an admission of guilt. But Milley did commit treason and Liz Cheney would have legitimately been gone after for witness tampering during the Jan 6 show trial so there is that.

And if you had been concerned about Trump officials committing crimes during his time in office the door has just been opened wide open for when he leaves office. Precedent has been set. Don't complain four years down the road if it happens.
Well, Trump kept saying that the Democrats were weak on prosecuting crime. So a master criminal he was counting on that and he was correct.

No, that's what Trump himself said:

"Christians, get out and vote, just this time. You won't have to do it anymore. Four more years, you know what, it will be fixed, it will be fine, you won't have to vote anymore, my beautiful Christians. I love you Christians. I'm a Christian. I love you, get out, you gotta get out and vote. In four years, you don't have to vote again, we'll have it fixed so good you're not going to have to vote."

I am certainly happy Joe Biden has issued preemptive pardons to Dr. Fauci and members of the January 6 committee.

Trump has promised to use the DOJ to go after his political enemies.

He has picked a MAGA lapdog for AG, and installed his defence lawyers in top DOJ positions.

Preemptive pardons are not a good thing, but necessary when a thin-skinned asshole bent on revenge is entering the White House.
But what would there be to go after?
If there was nothing there, where would evidence come from? THe same place Adam Schiff claimed he had that proved Trump colluded with Russia?
Would CNN and MSNBC just sit back and report the charges? Would social media not rally the plebes? Would the billions raised by the Democrats not be enough to fight charges? And are Democrats now admitting the DOJ is politicized? Is your concern your side might be the target suddenly a problem?

President Biden on Friday commuted the sentences of nearly 2,500 federal inmates convicted of crack cocaine offences — as roughly the same number of marijuana prisoners await word on whether he will honour his campaign pledge to free them.

Biden reduced the sentence of Lairon Graham, 67, a Buffalo man convicted in 2023 of organizing and heading a drug conspiracy to sell fentanyl, crack, cocaine and heroin. In addition to heading up the drug gang, Graham was also convicted of “sex trafficking by force or coercion” from 2013 to 2021.
Biden commuted the sentence of Valentino Shine, 57, convicted in 2019 of five counts of sex trafficking, narcotics sales and intent to distribute crack cocaine.

He ran a sex-trafficking operation out of his Buffalo residence, exploiting at least nine drug-addicted women and coercing them to engage in commercial sex acts. His motto was ”BABI-PAE” — Break a Bitch Incorporated; Pimping Ain’t Easy.

IMG_8464.jpeg Note that Trump himself writes that tariffs come from “Foreign sources”.
“They will start paying”
He is either deliberately lying or doesn’t know better.

Someone in the admins dealers no doubt. Ageee they were not low level criminals and should not have been pardoned.
