I have to hand it to Trump and his handlers. They ran a great campaign.
They targeted rural, unsophisticated, poorly educated, and just plain stupid Americans, and convinced them that all of their problems were caused by boys playing girls soccer, illegal Mexican rapists, and woke politics.
They campaigned on issues so trivial and ridiculous, even the slobbering inbreds of the rural rust belt could wrap their tiny brains around them.
Ironically, these are the folks who will be hurt the most as Trump dismantles government programs and kills Obamacare.

Kaplan's bias calling Trump's conviction equivalent to rape will be used as one of the grounds to file for an appeal, and he'll probably win. Carroll's no-evidence win will also be dismissed on appeal. She will rightfully never see a penny. Everything she has said under oath, and in interviews shows her to be unable to even remember what year she was supposedly attacked, how she fantasizes about being raped, how the dress she was supposed to be wearing wasn't even in existance at the time, or how no staff at a high end store were anywhere to be seen throughout this mystery attack.

If any one thinks elected officials actually run any thing is dreaming. Weakened election finance laws sped it up the influence peddaling. No matter Republican or Democrat its all the backroom boys/girls running they show. Big pharma, big military, big tech, wall street, big ag.....there's nothing left for the actial voters. A few crumbs here and there, some slogans and platitudes and some one to blame for their lot in life and that's about it. Same here in Canada.

I was kinda involved in provincial government issues back in the day... And saw different idelogies come and go. Dealt with the back room guys/gals and a few cabinet ministers. And it was the backroom types who by and large ran things. It's not realistic for an elected high school teacher to be Minister of Finance and be expected to be an expert. He's there because his/her riding is important.
Once health care and education budgets were accounted for.... and other ongoing costs for infrastructure there wasn't much dough left over. The odd project of special interest to a Premier but not many. The big ticket items needed federal participation.

Yep ! I even tried to reason with the guy to no avail. I had put him on ignore but after seeing him going after Westwoody and a few other members that have always come across as level headed , cool and collected ; I attempted to reason with him but he still twisted things to insult Canadians.
Funny enough i remember when he first posted on Perb stating as an American perb was like a candy store... totally amazed that a website like this existed or something in that order. Oh well
