I accept your caveat. However, I would like to add that from my exposure to discussions among providers in various "providers-only group chats," I've learned that a significant number of those charging $500 or more per hour are only booking 1 to 4 clients each month.
It's not that they prefer to see such a limited number of clients each month; rather, it's simply that very few men are willing to book them. Before anyone gets defensive, I want to clarify that I'm not suggesting this applies to all providers in those price ranges, but it definitely describes the majority.
I never try to speculate on a woman's choice. However, if she wants to see more clients, she can lower her rate if a lower rate equals greater demand and more income. Otherwise, four clients at four hours each at $500.00 per hour is $8,000.00 per month. To earn that at $300.00 per hour, she would need to see twenty-seven one-hour or seven four-hour clients.
As @westwoody suggested, the prep time is the same for a one-hour and four-hour booking. In the example above, four hours of prep versus twenty-seven hours.
