Check your closet..:)
I’m fucking mad and going on a rant.
Winnipeg is overrun with immigrants who make anyone outside their community unwelcome. It is a huge problem at work.
Take a group of four employees, two EuroCanadian and two EI - the EI always start talking to each other in their language and exclude the Euros. Same with Filipino.
This is RUDE!
They whine about acceptance but turn around and disrespect everyone else.
I have been a lifelong Liberal but this is an issue that would make me vote Conservative. Stop bringing in people who have zero interest in assimilating and no interest in being part of the Canadian commonity.
It's like trying to think that introducing a pack of wolves with a bunch of sheeps and thinking the wolves will learn to live a sheep's life.
Good luck with that.....

Trudeau wants to ban the sale of gas and diesel powered vehicles by 2035. That’s only 11 years from now. How is that going to be accomplished? Answer is; it won’t be. The clown can’t be voted out of office too soon in my opinion.
Ford just announced the other day that it isn't going to retool one of their plants for EV's

they were supposed to, now they're going to be making Super Duty Trucks

with no plans for EV's till later this decade, if that

just like in Alberta the other day, while record electrical usage, the Billions wasted on Windmills, on one day, during an "alert" for usage

there was ZERO, ZERO coming from all the turbines, when you needed it most

delusions of reality/facts is the new Liberal way

just like we need millions of homes, yet housing starts are down, except in AB and I think Montreal, but overall still decreasing as a country

it's just so sad that Jimmy Singh is just as big a waste of skin as the Turd

if he really cared about anyone other than himself, he'd have brought the Liberals down a year ago

Wind and solar can work at different times. Peak times are are in the daytime (in summer for AC). Some places these don't match up or compliment each other vs peak time. The answear is to have a storage system (eg batteries). This is the biggest drawback to the wind and solar power generation, how do you store the power en mass. Still Canada won't be making enough electricity for everyone to have an electric car. There is not enough infrastructure like charging stations for long distance trips (at least not on par with gas stations). Nor is it possible to build cheap batteries to house all that electricity for future use.

Will every city have a skyscraper that just houses batteries for off peak time use?? Who know.

But the big question is what is the tipping point for that results in irrreversible climate change (where our planet becomes a CO2 atmosphere like Venus)?

The biggest problem is for the big players in electricity is when they will allow for the equal exchange of electric power? People that can afford solar or wind power have to store it, or sell it off back to the utility companies usually at reduced rates. Another thing to do is equalize/build transmission lines between the provinces. The grid would need several parallel grid structures, as most lines are singular in nature.

It’s so stupid Canada is a cold weather country, can’t believe they are lumping Natural gas in with the more polluting fossil fuels, without it heating homes at 30 below is a no go. That goofy environment minister has to go the sooner the better along with the bogus carbon tax, anything fuel related produced here is a drop in the bucket compared to the big global players and they ain’t playin!

Burning any type of fuel, Bunker oil, diesel, gas or natural gas; when they burn they produce CO2. You can't get away from producing CO2 when you burn things with carbon..
In places in Canada they still use oil to heat homes. Although the trend is to go to natural gas or propane in rural areas, cities depend on electric heat.
Propane vehicles aren't as good as gas engines or diesel engines. We had those engine for over 100 years so they work better, but they produce more pollution than propane.

Everybody today is pushing electric this, electric that. The real solution would be hydrogen economy. Hydrogen works in fuel cells to produce electricity. When hydrogen burns its producing water. Hydrogen can be produced by the electroylsis of water breaking the hydrogen-oxygen bond and producing hydrogen gas and oxygen. The problem is infrastructure to build it, and the fact hydrogen can be explosive.

For electric the problem is battery storage, the best type of battery today is a phosphate lithium battery. Lithium is extracted by using water and other chemical processes. And there are waste processes left behind. So the answear to storing electricity could be solid state batteries.

The future is hydrogen vs. Electric.

The problem here in Canada is there are too many voices saying "do this", and "do that". We need to look at Norway (how they invested their funds from oil ), and other small countries that used what they had to build hydro-electric dam with wind power to pump water back up to reservoirs when the wind was blowing. Or how they built a transportation system between islands.

No our politicians are way more interested in how they get reelected than on the future of Canada. Today if I was a politician I would concentrate on ways to get the average person under my thumbnail. I'd increase welfare, and kick backs to the rich. As the poor increase in number I have a population base that will always want to vote for government handouts. Kind of sounds like where we are today...

People in Canada have to start looking at Canada as theirs. The mineral wealth and oil wealth should be theirs, but only a few have a say on what happens to that wealth...Unfortuneately the wealth of Canada belongs to the "Crown". the Crown is the Royal Family/Federal Government.

People need to read the "Magna Carta" and make a new one for Canada today. No taxes unless the people say ok to them... today taxes are mandatory for everyone...

Did you know Federal income tax only became legal in 1972. After the Fed government passed a bill in 1972, cause some farmer didn't pay because income tax in WW2 was a temporary thing to pay for the War. the money was so good the government just kept collecting the money from the Canadian people....

And as we all know most tax laws only favour the rich..... tax law should be simple, that even retards in government can understand them...

A flat tax on everyone or every entity—I don't know what that number is, but I have heard 20% could possibly work. There would be no need for corporations for tax purposes, and you wouldn't need to worry about tax accountants and lawyers. There would be no loopholes, rich or poor.

Income tax in Canada came into being in 1917 to help pay for WWI not WWII.

Unprecedented fires in Western Canada. Unheard of destruction of towns. Lytton BC and now Jasper AB. Must be a story behind all the fire news in recent decades. For me, raised in Vancouver, never heard squat about the forests. Maybe a free decal of Smokey the Bear from the PNE in the days when you could read the numbers on the F86 Sabers crisscrossing over Hastings Park and beehive burners worked the BC interior.

No coincidence as far as I'm concerned. All but obliterated decades ago, the Canadian manufacturing industry left simultaneously with a brain drain. Canada doesn't have the technical smarts to run Canada properly. And you know what we're doing about that. Importing massive numbers. Mostly from places that destroyed half the continent they came from with environmentally destructive work practices and over population. Because Canadian dollars must return to Canada somehow or the Canadian dollar would crash further.

New apartment towers look impressive. I'd give British Columbians that much credit. A source of foreign income since Canada's natural birth rate hardly covers death rate. All for newcomers. But an immense wasted opportunity to produce locally. Virtually everything from dump trucks, rebar, steel toed boots, hand tools, hoists, window frames, wiring and plumbing come imported. When the job's done imported appliances fill kitchens and laundry rooms. When people move in they bring imported small appliances, clothes and furniture.

It's worse than that. A moral decline. An hypocrisy of protecting environment and not addressing inordinately long commuting.

no, if you go back, there is evidence of fires larger, the only difference now

is there are people living in areas where no one ever lived before in any amounts

perception

not to mention we have incompetent gov't now, who can't think past yesterday

just look at Lytton, for fucksakes, it's been how many years?

1 building has been rebuilt?

just watch how long it will take with the Feds involved to get Jasper back to what it was, not that they'll build fire smart buildings back

or better to address the housing shortage

Laughed my ass off!!!

You're going to have to do a lot better.

I'm embarrassed for you.
Feeling excited and electrified? You are sort of the mechanical Turk for pro-con attack point reguritation, so it figures you'd get uptight about this.

I dont have to do anything more, and your shame is all your own issue.

So, Trump has jumped on the "Fidel is Justin's daddy wagon"......must have been a slow day for him or is he looking to move North if he tanks in the South. Should PP be worried?

Would be interesting if Trudeau grew a beard and it was scruffy looking like Fidel’s used to be.

No the government is taking a page out of the insurance companies- denial and delay

If you live in a rural area your house should be ICF construction with cement board for outside boards and a thick metal roof with a sprinkler system(with a pump your turn on when you leave (battery backup for running pump for 3 days.) hooked up to a 5000L reservoir for intermittent fogging water on the roof tops. No trees that could fall on your house so 20 m spread around your house/building. Add on cement floor, and window shutters made from cemnet board to cover windows.

Part of the problem with the lack of affordable housing was/is the city counsel in most cities who only favour house building for profit, not low cost housing. For years most big cities have lacked behind on the development of low cost housing; they instead favoured houses and apartments that sell at market price (brings in more tax revenue). This shit start over 40 years ago when house prices first started rising in the late 80s.
I won't mention the bank/Accessor/flipper cyclical scam that has been ongoing for the last 30 years driving up house prices. How about the greed of people when they sale their houses (when they list at X price, and accept X + 20,000.00) over the listed price. Salers market created by real estate agents and city counsel who have created a housing shortage in their city. So the people making money in this are really the ones to fucken blame for the shortage of houses and high prices of housing. Now lets add in the high interest rates for the past 2 years and now the housing market will drop due to number of houses for sale (owners trying to sale before the bank forecloses)

But another concern is house insurance, that is on a steep uprise due to the natural disasters in Canada (ice storm, tornados, floods)_ all due because houses are being built in the wrong area (100 year flood plains etc). Today with climate change (the air holds more water when the temp is risen up by 1 degree), so there is an increase in heavy downpours, causing land erosion and flash floods, and dumps of snow etc.

Every body that has a house in a city, their land hasn't changed just the alloted price of the land has gone up; in able for the taxes to increase for the city/province.

The new gun laws.
I think I will vote for pp, so he gets rid of the dumb gun laws Trudeau made.

Hey every fucken body likes to talk about being responsible..... So people should know that there consequences for their actions.
So if criminals use guns in a unlawful way (like drive by shootings) they get maximum time behind bars and the death penalty if they kill someone...

ACTIONs has consequences!!

Canadian virtue signalling via Trudeau does absolutely nothing. The fake apologies, the crocodile tears the mea culpas for past wrongs are all for show.

Then, move on to climate, and NOTHING Canada does will affect the climate. The average forest fire in Manitoba or Siberia, Chinese coal plants and any volcanic eruption spews more particulates into the air than Canadians using natural gas ovens, internal combustion engines or a wood-burning fireplaces for their lifetimes.

Hm..wonder if there is any difference between volcanic particulate and co2 emmisions? 🤔
