I am planning on traveling to USA with an SP who is face out on Social Media. I am worried about the possibility of her being denied entry into the US based on other rumours of SP being denied entry into the USA. I am flying out of YVR. We are going to LA 1 night and then to Hawaii for 7 nights. Is there any issues I could face being associated with her if she gets denied entry. I don't want to be denied future entry into the US for just being associated with her.

thanks

Does she advertise on any of the primary sites with face pictures? Does she make it clear that she’s an SP on social media? If yes to either then there’s a high probability that she would be flagged as inadmissible to the US. If there’s any problem I would advise withdrawing your application to enter the US immediately, I assume they have pre clearance at Vancouver airport.

Yes ... her social media shows her face pics and body tattoos. It is clear she is an SP from viewing her social media sites. She posts her availability and contact info. YVR does have preclearance for US customs.

I dont know why they would deny entry just for someone being an SP publishing on social media. It should be none of their business and you are not breaking any law.
But, they will.

There’s a Reddit post saying US Immigration is using AI to search for sex workers.

from google:

Under current laws, any person US border agents suspect has sold sex in the last ten years can be denied a visa, refused entry, detained, deported and banned from the US for five to ten years. Sex workers say these laws have a “traumatising” impact.

Legal subjects on Perb should be in the same category as medical issues.
Clearly you are a person of means if you are bringing a sw along on a trip. Contact a lawyer and be sure. I would trust the Perb community for legal advice in the same way I would trust it regarding advice for my roids.

Wow, does it mean they can't travel at all to US? if they are concerned about SPs working their, its applicable for all kind of travellers with freelancing work, youtubers, consultants etc. I suppose there is no discussion or logic when it comes to immigration issues.

Excellent advice, this has been brought up in many previous threads and it’s always the same conclusion, there’s a risk it could happen.

Watch a couple episodes of border Security. Yank border Security is pretty serious about sw's entering their country. I know, I know, it's reality TV.
My own experience when crossing the border being 1st nations, is as soon as I flash my status card ,they pull their horns in and give me a pass, even with 2 dwi's. They just wave me through..

True, sometimes I don't think with my correct head. I have some time as the trip is not till November. I will reach out to a lawyer. The real question is what consequences will I face by being associated with her if she is denied entry.

You and her are just two people travelling on the same airplane. Nobody knows you are associated unless you announce it.

On a more serious/ominous note: many places now have facial recognition. What database your face is checked against? Is your face on google or facebook?

We will have the same booking/ticket number with the airline. I am pretty sure it will be evident that we are traveling together and know to each other.

I am not worried about my face being recognized.. I am worried about her face being recognized an a known SP and the consequences of me being associated with her in terms of not being to travel to US in the future.

I would also be concerned with a more extreme issue, that being they think you are trafficking sex workers. The risk you are contemplating taking on is not worth it.
