What can cause a thread to be deleted?

Numerous reasons, posting in the wrong forum, discussing topics that can’t be addressed usually medical, posting a topic that turns into a gong show, reposting a thread that’s already be deleted, a topic that’s been discussed endlessly, asking why a specific action was taken by the mods. Those are the main reasons.

Just have a look at Perbatory - the reasons that people are there is usually posted with each and every sentence imposed.
Although not every thread deletion ends in a ban.

Now to be fair, how does one know they are reposting a thread that has already been deleted?

I seen threads shut down and closed, where there was no apparent rule breaking, but again the offending thread was erased.
If a thread has been erased from the public domain here on Perb, do the MODs keep those threads?

To be clear I meant when a member reposts the same thread without checking why it was deleted and yes we can see deleted threads.

Pre pandemic I was posting about how I was worried about getting covid and how I was not going to see escorts for that reason
Any posts/thread topics with mentioning “coronavirus”was shot down and deleted early in the pandemic

In those early days of the pandemic a lot of fear mongering was happening and many posts were deleted or moved to the Covid forum.

In no particular order:

Mentions of personal information, addresses, kids, drug abuse allegations, BBFS even if in code or vaguely implied, trolling, conspiracy theory tin foil hat stuff, blatant lies, stalking type behavior, more than 1 review of a lady in a 2 month period, complaints about pricing, attacking the mods, repeatedly bringing up the same issue over and over again, cross posting, drunk or stoned postings, necro posts bumping anything older than 6 months, posts by guys in any advertiser forum.

Those are just off the top of my head or we have had to deal with them in the last few days. There are days when we are deleting posts constantly it seems and then there are times when we can go a few days without having to delete any.

Interesting pattern. Sounds like the makings of a conspiracy theory. Curious if the post deletion sprints correlate with full moons, pay days, new member activity, sun spots, or the number of pan-overs to Taylor Swift at a Chiefs home game. Lol. I am not aware of any Illuminati-like deep state subterfuge prompting Perbites to act up or behave on que, however we may have been brainwashed so that we are not aware of our own posting patterns. Maybe it’s the Chineese trying a backdoor infiltration tactic. Those 5-eyes dudes might not think to look here.

I believe it’s more to do with new members not taking the time to look around the board or read the rules and guidelines, sorry to ruin your conspiracy theories. And absolutely no aliens 👽 are involved with PERB!
