priority given to those who can provide me with one of the following before booking:

- photo of your passport

- LinkedIn profile with photo of you and at least 100 connections

I get that people need to be safe and have screening procedures but a picture of my passport? Linked in profile? This sounds like a blackmail scam to me. Thoughts?

This is a tough one... Kinda tempting. Outcall preferred to. Name, address, official documentation, photo, professional connection. I mean... That is enough for identity fraud.

There is certain level of polish that an ad and provider needs to have to justify this level of screening. Established providers can justify this. Random LL ads for providers with no background anywhere to be found? Hard pass.

I understand her need to vet her potential customers, but it’s unrealistic.
She will get few takers. Wait awhile for her to change her screening demands.
It will happen.

As per the title of this post - I'm guessing she wouldn't REQUIRE all that if you have already seen her LOL

Providing a copy of your passport, without redacting some of the information is asking for identity theft, particularly with an unknown SP posting on LL. She won't show her face, has no phone listed. You have zero indication she's even a real provider, could easily be an ID theft ring. Verified on LL means absolutely nothing and is faked all the time.

LinkedIn is less potentially dangerous, but still has risk, if she's not on the level. Extortion, doxxing, there's more than enough doubt here to move on to a less demanding unknown, or a known provider with a track record. LinkedIn has been used by many as a screening tool, a photo of a passport is not often used that I have seen. Driver's license or other ID have been used for some ladies, and they sometimes mention redacting bits of info to maintain privacy.

No chance in hell. I am without a passport, and my Linkedin doesn't even have 50 connections!

no way,

and if you are desperate enough to even consider doing that, then you should seriously reevaluate your life.

The only time I would consider any form of ID (DR.licence or passport) would be to a very well established provider. Even then some redactions of numbers would be necessary. To a LL advertiser with no track record? No way in hell.

No FUCKING way!

There is an sp on this board I am dying to see but because I do not have a reference, although I see plenty of women but not all are mainstream if that makes sense, I cannot see her which is frustrating but no way I would put my life in her hands with that information.

I 100% appreciate the need for safety, god only knows how these women see some of these trolls, but this is simply too personal.

is there another way?

Does she have a golden pussy?
Why would I provide that info to someone totally anonymous to take part in an activity best kept secret. He’ll no, it would be insane.

Especially when I can so easily see other hot SP for far less ID exposure risk.

I can't tell who is the most retarded here. The people who could fall for this scam, or the scammers that thought this would work.

Or worse yet, a provider who ACTUALLY believes this is a viable method of screening, even if they were "trying to be" legitimately professional about the venue.

No matter what kind of provider they are, this hobby shouldn't have to be so complicated where you have to give up vital government issued identification for... Even if said provider is still pulling the 'what about my safety?' card, then screw her!... She shouldn't be doing the job if she's so paranoid, that she needs to see your social insurance number, or driver's license... Clients have just as much to worry about too, and we aren't asking for their passport

I'll pay the deposit with virtual gift cards, but that's as far as I'll go. Plenty of less paranoid providers in the trade.

Passports and Passport data are incredibly valuable to very bad people. For that reason alone I wonder if this is just someone trying to harvest that data.
