For the most part Luc, I agree with your comments with MODS operations here. However, for the " Nay Sayers " , Lets all remember that the internet is virtually impossible to moderate at a 100% efficiency rate. And what I mean by this is? For example, anyone banned can once again re-create numerous amounts of handle names. It's not hard to do. As I said in a previous thread. You don't need a government ID to register here.

The 2nd part....there are quite a few ladies I follow on TWITTER that say ---- 1) they hate review board for numerous reasons they specify & 2) Back to reason #1, A few ladies have not renewed their membership here. In fact, I've been on this forum for quite some time and the ladies ad section seems to be shrinking imo.

If you eliminate Asian Fever, Luxxxe, Melissa & Coco agencies for examples....there aren't many " LOCAL Indy's " here as there once was. Years ago there were swarms of Indy's on Perb. Not so such much now. Or, am I missing something with that?

Advertising Cost there VS traffic maybe? I'm not sure how much traffic here is created for the ladies? Lady(s) who reads this may comment on this....

And since I brought up agencies. Around Vancouver --- With Asian Fever exempted --- there are numerous amounts of ladies working in Korean / Asian massage / escort agencies who are consistently reviewed here. All those places are not on PERB? Why is that? Leo List is no short of those listed. Is it cheaper to advertise on Leo than here?

I dunno how you consider that interfering, lmao...🤔
Somethings 💯% need to stay buried, unrecognized or unmentioned, and alot of threads get so off course it's ridiculous.

So if a thread has mention of hating on a particular sp, members discussing suspected drug use by an sp, unpaid advertising by unsupported members or gentlemen, or bbbfs, you really think the threads should go on with commenters shenanigans until the thread dies out and people stop commenting?... lol "que cricket noise"

I dont think you understand how much of a shitshow Perb/Merb/ & Terb would be if moderators turned a blind eye. And in that case what would be the point of having moderators if they let the keyboard warriors, white knights, sickos, complainers, and idiots run rampant. I for one wouldn't even be partaking in this forum and giving my hard earned money to advertise for a great price btw (thank you) if that was the case.

I love all the moderators here and their personalities. They are doing their best job, and I always 💯 appreciate the fact they all are volunteering their time out of their day towards the forums and ensureing I have a platform to express myself as I want to authentically, a safe place to talk about things on my mind, and giving me and the other supported members the fairest advertisement cost out of anywhere on the interwebs.

Thank you,
xoxo

I get more inquiries from Leolist, but a lot are guys who spam 'hi' to every single ad (low quality inquiries). Inquiries from PERB tend to be higher quality but fewer.

I also seem to get very few reviews, which is weird. I don't mind as long as they're not explicit/super detailed, and they are helpful for getting new eyes to my page!

Cost effectiveness really depends on location. In areas where Leolist ads disappear off the first page in an hour or less, paying for ad bumps does add up pretty quickly.

I actually prefer seeing SP’s personalities shine on a board like this. Just this thread alone shows the intelligence of these ladies. To me smart =sexy. The cliché of the bimbo is so oft putting…unless role play lol
A leo ad doesn’t represent this, and how could it. Thank you to the mods to allow certain freedoms of this board, and reign in others when things get out of control.

Yes, I agree with that. A lot of guys like seeing a provider's Twitter presence as well. Some of the people I follow are so dang funny!

Yes, some funny and cool, but some are just plain arrogant, rude and think that their crap doesn't stink. I'm quite sure there are many who would counter act their comments, but, what they will do is simple..... They just blocked and that action proves my point.

Life is much nicer if you treat people with the same respect, be yourself and " humane".

Many providers have a problem with review boards and "slobbyists" in general. They coined that term to denigrate hobbyists, another term they despise. In PERB's case, many hate us because we will not take down honest negative reviews on demand and will not allow them to promote themselves here without payment. They have run afoul of the rules and rather than play well with others, they leave and throw stones. We also do not respect DNR requests without sufficient reason and hating reviews and reviewers isn't enough reason.

Many providers over the years have built loyal followings here and gotten many regular clients. Just as many ladies have tanked their business and turned off countless potential clients. Some of the meltdowns have been legendary in fact.

At least here there are rules, and the admin and mods to help enforce them. We have banned countless trolls and stalkers, worked with ladies to protect themselves with legit DNR requests and I believe we have made this a better place since the new ownership has come in. For every blow up and hate post directed at the board, I can point out other ladies who have said thank you and meant it when we have helped them out of a difficult situation or helped them grow their business.

OMG, the Legendary train wrecks were EPIC!

Don’t get me wrong, I do not wish for anyone to blow up publicly on PERB or anywhere else, but when they double down on douche-baggery, feel compelled to tirade on every single perb post, or try to hide behind their feigned DNR status, it’s seriously better entertainment than prime time TV. Like driving by a fender bender at rush hour—ya just can’t help but slow down and check out the carnage. I am sure these meltdowns bring out the best in our beloved Mod’s (we really do love you, we just don’t say it much), but we do notice.

Those issues are not what I am referring to. Those are legitimate reasons to close threads. To prove my point, just look at the recent thread on ethnicities that was shut down, with an illogical point made by the mod who closed it. Despite good replies from SP's, legitimate comments and decent language, a mod shuts it down because he (or she) is probably worried it might take a direction they don't like. So here a mod, with all the power they have, closes a thread on their own speculation.
When a thread is locked, there is no way for members to deliver arguments to the rest of the board as to why it is wrong, illiogical, strange or stupid. The only recourse is a PM to a mod, and in reality, who is going to bother? And if you've ever done it, the response is usually condescending or threatening. I'm surprised this thread is still open, since the mods want everyone to think each individual concern is that member's only.

You bring up legitimate concerns just keep in mind that you’ve got 3 moderators that work independently on a part time basis who have nothing in common and completely different opinions. There’s no training manual on how to moderate just some advice, a few simple rules such as don’t make appointments with your mod handle, don’t take bribes, don’t ban supporting member. I’ve had a few members PM me about why their thread was closed and I’ve either explained why or I’ve done an edit job and reopened the thread. There’s other options if you disagree with a moderators decision, you can PM another mod to look into it or you can PM Fred Zed, she’s the boss and we answer to her but please try other options first she’s a busy lady running all 3 ERB’s. Do not start a thread bitching and complaining about the mod who closed your thread, this will get you into perbatory really fast! Recently a thread got closed for legitimate reasons but the mods post closing it was a little over the line in my opinion so there’s a way to appeal decisions. And I’ll be honest sometimes mods have bad days just like everyone else, when you’re writing the same thing for the thousandth time because members can’t take the time to read the rules you can get a tad snappy!

While it might seem illogical to shut down a thread on ethnicities because you don't see any conflict, it's very likely because that conflict was deleted from the thread and the closure is to prevent it from happening again. The mods don't have opinions on likes or don't likes. We enforce the rules, that's it.

As for replies from mods, if you ask the question with respect, you get respect. If you are yourself condescending or arrogant, much like your tone and wording in this post, you will get that in return. Being told to follow the rules or face a ban is not a threat, it's the reality of how the rules work here. If you can provide an example of a thread being closed down with "good replies, legitimate comments and decent language" we would be more than happy to have a look at it. The fact that you disagree with a thread being closed does not make the closure of that thread a bad decision, only one you don't like. Sorry, but what you or any member likes or doesn't like about a thread or a topic has exactly zero to do with whether or not it stays open.

You enjoy debating and engaging flame wars (calling others illogical, strange or stupid is a massive violation of our rules BTW) and you don't like being told you can't do or say whatever you like. This is a private board with rules and there's no right to free speech here as such.

Lastly, I would hope that the fact this thread is open and getting replies from the mods actually proves your point solely your opinion, not reality.

I really appreciate this thread, thanks @frisky business for sticking your neck out, the other members for asking follow-ups, and the Mods for the clear responses.

I think the reason a lot of lurkers don't engage is because it can seem intimidating with all the acronyms, cliques, and call-back references. The information is available for sure, just like this info here, you just have to search for it. And to do that, you need to know where the search button is, and how to use it haha. Not everyone is capable with tech!

Thanks again for this!

Cheers,
- BB
