I decided to watch Poker Face again because it was the season finale. It was actually entertainment albeit very predictable. They have some good guests like Ron Perlman (Beauty and the Beast, HellBoy) and another which I won't name. They're reverting to flashbacks which is common now.

Despite Michelle Yeoh and Everything Everywhere All at Once (such a long name), I'm not fond of that movie concept. I don't find it's original. Yeoh's definitely going to command an expensive salary if she's going to become involved in Crazy Asians 2 or Star Trek's Section 31.

What's not bad in my opinion is Shrinking with Harrison Ford. We have enough doom and gloom right now, I don't need to watch it on small or large screen. But that's just me.

Finished Night Agent, Netflix. Excellent IMO. Great tits on the female lead!!
And filmed in Vancouver so LOT of landmarks.
Also
Daisy Jones and the Six, Prime. Yeah its a rip of the 1976-77 version and story of Fleetwood Mac and I was about to bail after E2 but hung in there and it got pretty good.
Good music of the era.
And for those with IPTV, found the Cormoran Strike series. This is a british detective series based on JK Roland's pen name Robert Gilbraith's novels. Read the books over Covid, when I found the series I figured Fuck Yeah in particular the female lead is a total babe stunner. My god she makes me wish I was 65 again!!

“Yellowjackets“ on showtime is pretty crazy, season 1, season 2 available shortly, pretty well all of it filmed here locally, lots of recognizable locations.👍

Enjoying Season 2 so far. The crazy shot continues, definitely.

Also watching Perry Mason, which is also in season 2.

What else... ?
Not sure if I mentioned it, but I am watching Gomorrah. Gotta love a mafia drama that's actually from Italy.

Beef. Terrible title, but good show. Halfway thru the 10 episodes and it keeps changing up the way things play out. Mostly all-Asian cast, set in California.

I’ll second Beef on Netflix. Aside from docuseries I seldom binge watch but this is that good. Fun to be simultaneously invested in or rooting for multiple characters at odds with each other.

For the last month, there's nothing I have found which captures my attention or impresses me beyond maybe the first episodes. Maybe it's all the wokism, but I'm taking a time-out.

So, wet weekend, did some nice indoor wet activities :)
and watched some IPTV, netdix, prime, etc
Pig, recent Nick Cage movie. Heard it was good, kept waiting for it to get good, was still waiting when it ended. Dark, gloomy, some kind of pointless point was made I guess.
Finished Yellowstone S5. If that's it, it is one major disappointment to leave the series like that. Have read that Costner doesn't want to be back for a S6 but S5 is not anywhere near finished as far as I am concerned.
Finished the BBC production of all 5 current Cormoran Strike books (by J. K. Rowling, published under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith). Excellent in my opinion, with the TV series staying pretty close to the books. Now I can't wait to get Book 6 and see it on TV.
Got caught up on a couple more of my pvr'd Picard episodes. Finally got better.
Started S3 of the Mandalorian. Good Star Wars entertainment.
My fabulous breasted FWB and I started in on Mare of Easttown. It's good but fuck those people are angry. Like everyone's either a fuckhead, pissed off at someone, or lying like a bottom fish. Pretty bleak. Oh and murders.

Got caught up on a couple more of my pvr'd Picard episodes. Finally got better.
I was reading the episode summaries, and the series did (finally) start to get better around episode 6/10.

So I started watching from episode 6 on. The finale went to complete shit and reminded me a bit like Dallas and how everything was all a dream to Bobby Ewing's Pam. The writers pretty much ignored everything about the previous seasons except for a few things. It's like Allison never became the Borg Queen, Wesley is dead, and Raffi's and Seven's gay relationship never happened. And don't get me started in bringing back "dead" Q. As much as like John, it really destroyed any feelings I had for the Trek Universe.

Now, the actors are promoting Section 31 which will be a movie instead of a series. Rumours have it that Yeoh's too expensive, and she'll only make a brief appearance.

Anyway, like we always say to others on Perb, trust your instincts and don't be afraid to walk. I should've walked and never looked back. Lol.

"The Diplomat" on Netflix is one of the brest series I have seen in some time. However, you need to pay attentionsto not miss any of the dialog. It definitely is a winner and there is sure to be another season.

SAS Rogue heroes, if u like war shows this series based on the WW2 origins of the british commandos is pretty good. The sets are fantastic, historically [according to the producers at least] accurate, and a remarkable story with stellar acting.

the Mandalorian, a disney production spin-off from star wars, season 3 this year has lots of input from clone wars, ashoka, boba fett and brings in a lot more katee sackoff, less pedro & grogu, its more for sci-fi nerds

I watched Marlon Wayans (Scary Movie. White Chicks, Scary Movie, Air) "God Loves Me" 2023 comedy special. I rather enjoyed it. He talks a lot about Will Smith and Chris Rock.

Still watching "YELLOWJACKETS".

Also started watching "THE WHITE HOUSE PLUMBERS", which is basically a comedy about the Watergate guys.

Also been binge watching UK police drama LINE OF DUTY. It's about cops who investigate other cops, and pretty damn good.

Barry on Crave. Had known about it for a long time, but never really dove in. It's quite entertaining, and Bill Hader does an awesome job.
