Good job they're in Calgary, so they're stinking up the Saddledome not Rodgers Arena tonight.
Time to blow it up. Trade Miller, Horvat and Boeser. You can only move Miller for so long before than NTC kicks in. Try to get at least 1 or 2 cheaper starters in return and as many draft picks as possible. Giving them time to figure it out this year isn't working. Might as well be letting the kids get some experience and saving payroll dough than putting expensive guys out who cannot win reliably. You can keep Bruce until the end of the year and cut him loose for nothing. He might do better with a younger team that listens better.
For every game they look amazing, there's 2 that they shit the bed. The tickets are all sold for this year as it is. Won't impact the revenue that much.
They aren't the only team in this spot either, several others are in the same territory. Better to get max value for trades sooner, before the rest of the others starting flogging their over priced talent as well.

This is a very poorly managed organization with no concrete plan. I heard Rutherford talk repeatedly last year about creating cap space flexibility..... so instead they sign Miller, who will be 30 in March, to a 7 year and $56 million extension. He says one thing and then does the complete opposite. Now the organization is stuck with yet another large and long term contract on an aging player
I think the goal with miller was to sign and trade.... Supposedly had a deal with isles that fell apart last minute
