Being 5'6 or 5'7 in the dating world will hold you back if your goal is to be attractive to all women and be able to date them all. At that height, it will be harder to date women 5'8 and above, but not impossible. But if you are looking to find an attractive/adequate person to date, then height alone is not enough to stop you from doing that.

If a 5'6 guy can't find a decent person to date, then it's likely that it isn't just height that is the problem there. Blaming the issue on height alone is oversimplifying the issue and ignoring other issues.

Based on OP's posts, I'm speculating this guy lacks in accountability, strength/resilience, communication skills, problem solving skills, outlook/perspective, and I'm guess he's lacking in the effort/work ethic department as well. That is just to start. So blaming height is really missing a bigger picture here.

Dude, this is your 6th post on this thread... you seem to have this pathological need to dismiss and denigrate the OP, yet you haven't answered the fundamental question that's been asked a couple of times already regarding your own height?!
Look, if you're 5'6" and have overcome your own challenges, yet just have an awkward way of expressing it, fine. A little more transparency & empathy never hurt...
However, if you're even average height, let alone taller-than-average (which is 5'10" in Canada according to Google)... instead of continuing this little campaign of undermining and disrespecting the challenges & discomfort of others, how about you just STFU?
Please 🙏

The challenges & discomforts of being a 5'7 male in Vancouver, lol. F'n unreal. I am laughing out loud reading this right now and if you are trying to be funny, it is pretty hilarious!🤣

5'7 would probably feel alot shorter in say a European country amongst giants well over 6 feet tall. But in Vancouver and the lower mainland, there are a large percentage of Asian people, so a height of 5'7 would be below the average male height (5'9) but not by very much. This heightened level of "challenge and discomfort" seems to apply more to some than others. In your case sir, it seems very much magnified. The level of sympathy that you feel you deserve is honestly quite surprising to witness.

I'm 6 feet and pretty freaking ugly. But married for over 30 years.

Around me, in my circle of family, friends, coworkers, are people much taller than me and much shorter than me.
Some are single, some are married. Their height doesn't seem to have any bearing on this.
I see short guys with taller girls, tall guys with shorter girls. Height doesn't matter.
I don't know the OP but the 'poor pitiful me' act doesn't make one appealing to be around.

As a smaller man (5'5"ish) this thread intrigues me. Many times in life i have felt invisible to the opposite sex but in reality it was a self fulfilling prophecy, perhaps i wasn't desirable because i had hang ups about myself (how can i be an adequate partner or lover if i dont love and believe in myself first) Comparing yourself to others is not healthy, there will always be someone else smarter , younger, prettier, stronger, fitter, faster, wealthier,or better endowed , not to mention most of these attributes are fleeting in our existence anyways

I have female friends who have clearly stated that in no way or form would they be romantically involved with a male shorter then themselves , i also have at least three male friends about the same height as me who have always had gorgeous taller women as partners , but the person that i know that has had the most ' pretty woman ' for partners is a 6' foot lying , thieving , cheating, souless, psychopathic junkie

I also have two tall (over 6') married, macho , deep voiced male friends that most ,but not all , women lose their shit over. Both are pathological liars, cheaters and bullshitters and bad with money yet get countless opportunities (personal, professional and romantically/sexually ) from males and females that dont know them as well.
$175,000 more annually is not making me more desirable it just makes the so called 'admirer' a greedy troll.

If being shorter/being alone means i have more time and freedom to practice self love ie exercise, cook healthy meals, learn more , play more , earn more i consider it a privilege. I get to use my extra time, money and knowleged to fulfill my dreams and fantasies many of which with different , physically stunning professional providers on clear terms and conditions.

Generally speaking short guys would be called creeps that taller guys would be called studs for.

Without repeating myself. Oh I am. If you are a physical presence. Intimidating even. You stand less of a chance of enjoying the walking away with your tail between your legs experience. No female dares thinking of a big lumbering hulk as a "creepy guy". Whether they like him or not, they are going to give him that prison yard respect. However they don't really give that much of a shit if you are a little guy.

Yeah. I was in the same boat during high school and college. Now I am in 39 years old; make well over $200,000 a year. Own my own condo in downtown white rock and planning on purchasing a second. Now it comes to the point where yes I am single; but I am also enjoying my life and doing what makes me happy. The 24 year old blonde at browns rejects me? No biggie; maybe I wasn’t her type and life goes on... I think the biggest thing that women can read is a guys confidence level. If you are approaching the interaction with indifference... That’s a turn on...

When you saw in the news last year all those elderly people who died in long term care facilities during Covid outbreaks. The nurses just abandoned them and ran away. Does it make you feel good to die as a lonely old man?
Your million dollar condo will become worthless when you get older without a family and no longer able to take care of yourself.

Family tends to leave lonely old men to die alone in nursing homes. You think wives are really interested when their hubbies become broken down?

How many of those Asian men have you seen dating Caucasian women?

A lot of those activities would be more fun to do it with a partner especially traveling and road trips.
Traveling alone would be boring.

So what type of escort do you get? The best looking ones, the ones the offer what kinks you like? I have a friend who philosophy was to try to get the prettiest woman in the bar, afterall, you never know if she will like you and take you home.
Yes confidence helps.
I have a friend from college days, he was short, but had a big cock, he never seemed to lack the friendship of women.

Money, Looks and a big cock...... Women are looking for some part of that equation....

As for carehomes, they are an institution where old folks go to die, so their relatives can have a better quality of life. Minimun wage care takers and lots of theft at these places; so when you hear horror stories of mistreatment, most likely they are true.... Add in Alzheimer and dementia, and you know the abusers have done their risk management assessment....

20 to 30 years from now I look forward to sitting in my shitty diapers for 2 days or more, all while the air misters are covering up the crappy smells.....The clean diaper was good at first, it warmed up, then cooled down, was squishy and then it warmed up again as I had to pee. The doctors came in weekly to treat my rash on my ass, thinking they are pressure build up sores, rather than improper care; after all the facility had top notch care award for the past 15 years.....

I recall one of my friends, he was broke, no job and achieved nothing is his life but he was very successful with women because he has good social skills also lying a lot.
He was teasing me regarding escorts and saying" Look I'm broke, no job no money but I get laid for free and you pay for it"

In North America, I don't think that money is the most important criteria for dating. A lot of men who work in Silicon Valley earn a lot of money but they are struggling to find a partner because being a nerd is a turn off for many women. Most of women in North America have a career and are financially independent unlike in some traditional countries where they are looking for a husband to take care of them financially. It comes down more to social skills.
