I am trying to watch the political upheaval in Russia. If the Russian state is telling lies to the Russians, what is going to be a boiling point where everyone rebels against the authorities. Was watching a history on MSNBC on Putins political foes over the years who have died from murder, poisoning, and or from being thrown in jail. When are the authorities who know the war in Ukraine is unjust; and that Putin's regime is so similar to Hilter's rise to power and consolidation of power?

On the drone side of things with the Ukrainians being so successful in defending with the use of drones, what are they doing on the offensive end of drones. Could they have a couple of drones waiting for Putin to take a vacation and saturated his rental unit... who knows.

If Putin dies, how quickly will the Russian troops withdraw from the Ukraine borders?
Free elections in Russia? Or will somebody from the KGB take over? Who is the next go to Guy in Russia?

What happens when the people of Russia do something about how their natural resources are going into the Oligarths' pockets? Preventing the Russian People from having a better standard of living?

Actually most Russians know what the oligarchs are doing. Even when I worked there twenty years ago, the attitude was 'how to get a piece of the pie' rather than to punish the oligarchs. Sure, there is also bitterness but Russians are used to being abused and won't do anything until things get really, really bad........................

Thats the attitude here in Canada too! Piece of the Pie... Alot of people confess to having Christian attitudes, I sure don't think that getting a piece of the pie is Christian in any way. The attitude should be to share with everyone. Basicly hypocrites.

Anyway with Russia losing, they are threatening nuclear war.

The way out is to jail Putin and his cronies. Convert to Democracy. All hail the Greek heritage of Western thought and culture!! Then help Russia to become more democratic than the US is. Rebuild Ukraine, increase trade world wide.

Stalin tried to kill off the Ukrainian people by starvation. He killed millions.
Now Putin is trying to starve them.
Putin is stealing harvests that were in storage and shipping grain to Russia.
Ukrainians will die while Russian ork scum steal their food.

I wonder if the media could influence Putin... Write articles on the 5 people most likely to take over in the event of Putin's death. Write about Putin's fear of death, of Covid, of his ill health ( he is 69); I wonder if he would have the 5 heirs offed... Which would creates havoc in his own ranks, who in survival mode; off/jail/revolt against Putin himself, causing an end to the War in the Ukraine. Would this be a proof that the pen is mightier than the sword?
That Z symbol the Russian Troops are putting on vehicles. Turn it 90 degrees and you have a N. As in Nazi's.....The original motive for invading Ukraine. Putin must of studied alot of Nazi ways to gain control, and they are the methods he has used to gain power; just like the Nazi's.
Eliminate free speech, take control of the media, beat and jail Russian people who are in opposition to the Putin Party (all because they do not want war). Start a war with your neighboring countries and take resources, take Ukrainian Citizens and confine then in Russia (like Nazi Concentration Camps). The reality is all Putin's plays are not original, they are Nazi's, only done 70 years later.

Yes for the past 70 years they have been preparing (cause Russia is its neighbour).
Have to admit it some countries are way more savvy than Canada. yup so unprepared for shit that is like happening in Ukraine. Or the next level of warefare (biological/chemical) or the ultimate (nuclear). Canada hasn't been preparing cause the US is its neighbour.
Any nucs going over the north pole have the chance to fall on Canada. A war in the Northern hemisphere, you want to be in the southern hemisphere.
Montreal uses buses for decontamination spaces in case of terrorist attack.
Canada's excuse is that its far to big of a country and infrastructure costs money. I smell a make work project for the next 50 years for all major population centers.

you receive:
- we take the hit of our cities and infrastructure getting destroyed
- we take the 10's of thousands killed
- we decimate a geo-political/military terrorist and his army

Russian military doctrine has not changed since WW2. Massed artillery pulverising large urban areas, you can see it in Grozny and now several cities in Ukraine.
Imagine hundreds of missiles fired into the West End of Vancouver. Damage in one small area would be in the billions. Plus lives lost.
44 billion is a fraction of the cost of rebuilding.

That meme is beyond stupid, it is insulting. If you get a giggle out of this you’re fucked up. 2CC4430E-0F93-4E98-B588-AC39F48DBC04.jpeg

Rather inappropriate to say the least. Blaming Ukraine for getting invaded? That’s fucking ridiculous.
I know right….. I just noticed that the comment I added to the bottom isn’t there…grrrr

Yes that war is still going on. My take is the Ukrainians have more will to win and the Russian soldiers are not really true believers in Putin’s doctrine.

This made me laugh this afternoon and what a brilliant idea!

Ukrainian hackers duped Russian soldiers into talking to them, the FT reported.

The hackers set up fake social-media accounts and posed as attractive women, the FT said.

The hackers said the soldiers sent them pictures, which they geolocated and sent to the military.

BOOM here’s a HIMARS for you!

So reading various news, blogs etc, it seems Putin is running out of ammo and the chip shortage has them without drones. How embarrassing this must be, Russia has to buy from Iran (drones) and N.Korea (ammo). The drones are failing and don't seem to work within the Russian command network and the ammo is defective.

Mr Putin is a proud man, there’s no way he’s going to loose this war, this just increases the chance he’ll go nuclear or use chemical weapons, either scenario is a no win situation for everyone!

Putin is trying to blackmail Europe by threatening the Z nuclear plant. Russians have cut power from the grid to the cooling system. It depends on diesel generators.
Russians don’t care because the fallout will blow westward.

With the advances by Ukraine in the past week. I know its September, but winter is around the corner. I hope there is enough cold weather equipment for the Ukraine personnel to keep up the fight. Fuck I hate going out in Victoria in winter, let alone a person in eastern europe on a battlefield.
Were there any calls for cold weather gear.

So what type of stuff should they be getting:
White uniforms, pocket heaters for feet and hands. Boots.
Infra-red cameras to detect heat signatures.
Probally diesel to operate vehicles and warmth.
Protection against heat seeking missles.

I am also sure western europe will be in need of cold weather clothing, because they will have less heat in the winter.
Will that mean big LNG ships traversing the Panama Canal to Germany and France?

Ukrainian boots are so much better than Russian crap that the Russians are stealing all they can.
Meanwhile the Russian generals have been photographed wearing Prada…but no corruption!

I don’t think LNG tankers fit through Panama.

What are you even talking about - plenty of LNG tankers (right now) transit the Panama Canal. An LNG tanker is no different (generally speaking) than any other tanker. It's LNG - L as in liquefied, as in a LIQUID. If there are "tankers" transiting through the Canal, an LNG tanker can also transit the canal. It's a tanker, which is basically a box and like a box it can be scaled UP or DOWN. Tankers are designed with routes in mind, therefore if transiting through the Panama Canal is a requirement - they build them to a size so that it can transit the Canal. If I were a betting man, I would wager the vast majority of LNG tankers in the world CAN transit the Canal.
