Wagner and Lockett could soon follow, the fire sale is underway. Can we please fire Pete Carroll already, do we need to wait until they start the season 2 and 10? Cannot see them making the playoffs for years now.
Will be very interesting to see where they go from here. I'll reserve judgment till we see what else they do. Many people were very skeptical when they drafted Wilson and called for Carroll's head then. If Russ didn't miss all those games they make the playoffs last year. There's a solid argument to be made that they have a solid team keep Russ and reload vs another that Russ makes so much it hampers the rest of the roster.

Adams who can't cover may get moved to linebacker and in hindsight not the best move. Lose picks and probably Diggs to keep Adams. They need CB help badly and obviously QB. Can they win with a solid team and an above avg QB. I don't know but we'll find out. I doubt a full rebuild/fire sale is on the horizon. Interested to see who they take with pick #7.

Stupid Seaahawks owner is stupid

Jody Allen has no business having a damn thing to do with the team. Her brother died. She should have sold the team and gotten rich, but instead, she's playing at something she's got no friggen clue about. Trust in Carroll at this point is insane. He's 70 and completely out of touch.

The whole Wilson thing is now starting to get bad. They say he initiated a trade he says it was mutual. And Wilson is saying wait for his book. Stupid unnecessary drama. Time to move on. They had signed Matt Flynn before the draft of Wilson and not knowing how it would play out. Then after Wilson was drafted, he beat Fylnn for the job. Then many months of fire Carroll followed by the end of season and now Carroll is a genius.

I don't know if keeping Wilson or Carroll and Schneider is the right move. We may not know for a few years but during the year they drafted Wilson Carroll was roasted for months before Wilson proved Carroll was right.

NHL trade activity...

what are your thoughts as to winners/losers after the dust settles?

ppl are criticizing gm Dubas for not getting goalie help but they don't grow on trees.Besides Fleury who was available?

NFL saw activity last little while, eg Brady unretiring (not a big surprise?)
Deshuan Watson to the Browns is huge....his civil lawsuits, 22 of them, might still result in a suspension from the league?
musical chairs re the QB positions, quite a few teams might start 2022 season with someone new under center.

For Blue Jays info I refer you to relax10's thread which contains extensive coverage of the roster.

I know it's NCAA March Madness..I don't really get into the hoops but maybe others do and would like to chime in on the tourney
and also on the Raptors.

hope for some feedback!

ps forgot to mention the Russ Wilson trade...I was surprised!Comments?

when I read about the Chiefs trading Tyreek Hill today the 1st thing I did was check the calendar to make sure it wasn't April 1st.

Sammy Watkins gone after 2020 and now Hill..wtf?

Yes, Smith-Shuster joined the team but Hill is one of the elite WR's.....speed-wise they have Mecole Hardman, who might be ready
for a breakout season but I'm scratching my head over this one.

The haul they for for him was pretty amazing. They simply could not afford to keep him, they would have had way too much salary cap eaten up by the QB and WR1. Cannot have the best paid QB and the best paid WR1 on the same team. the return made the decision a total no brainer. The seahawks moved Wilson for the same reason. They were never going to make Russ the best paid QB around (and he doesn't deserve to be anyway) next year, so they get max value or close to it by trading him now. They may even give Kapernick a shot, who knows?

The Canucks and the Leafs failed to do what they needed to at the deadline. Canucks never got the offers they wanted I guess. They will continue to play as they have and just miss the playoffs, let's hope the offseason is more productive for them. Best case they squeek into the playoffs as the last seed and get wiped out in the first round.

The leafs fans will have Dubas for breakfast if goaltending fails in the playoffs. They could have had Halak quite easily I would have thought as one example. The whining about the blackhawks spilling the beans on the Fleury trade is typical Leaf bullshit.

Honestly, looking back at it, the speculation of potential trades is always something that irritates me. "Trade Miller - he's a tradable asset", for example. As if trading your team's #1 point-scorer, the only guy on the team getting over a point per game, is going to help the team get better. I mean there's this segment in the media that loves this sort of talk, but as soon as a player shows any sort of talent or promise, the chatter starts about the Canucks trading them to X, Y, or Z.... For what? Magic beans?
Yes, it's obvious that talent attracts interest, but it's also obvious that if your top line performs no better than any other team's 2nd, you are not a winning team and need to build up (not down) to become one.

Sadly, I think that's where the Canucks are right now. They are good enough to just-maybe make the playoffs, or just miss the playoffs - not decisively better or worse than that. If not for Demko, their record would probably look like they were tanking.

On the brighter side, I think if the Canadian men's soccer team wins their game today, they will have actually qualified for the World Cup tournament.

Could not agree more! JuJu has never been the same trying to be the number 1 guy after AB left. AB primarily (not always) got the best corner and doubled teamed. Allow JuJu to me more on a lesser skilled CB. Since AB left JuJu has dealt with injuries and inconsistent play mainly due to facing better CB's that used to cover AB and his own short comings. He may bounce back this year with Mahomes as his QB. Mahomes just made Demarcus Robinson some money. I expect KC to bring in another WR. Hardman finally showed bigger flashes/growth last year so I guess they are hoping this is his moment. And I get it Hill wants his money and the Mod is right Mia gave them a good return for Hill.

However, in an AFC West that is loaded now with Den hetting Wilson, SD another year wiser/better and even Oak improving. You decide to get rid of your most explosive player. CEH is not the feature back/Brian Westbrook type they thought.

agree, $ had to be a factor in the Hill situation.

In the NFL&NHL I think a good capologist is the team's unsung MVP.
Leafs have 4 players eating approx 40million of the cap...and none of them can play goal, lol.

A team's window is limited....you might have several solid young studs, but after about 4 yrs they are due for the big bucks and a team can't
keep everybody.

After Chicago won SC in 2009-10 they had to get rid of guys to give big contracts to Kane&Toews and cpl more, maybe Hossa,Keith?
I was surprised they re-loaded so quick, winning 2 more cups in '13&'15.
